Live like a Lord or Lady - Welcome to Ston Easton Park Hotel.
Advantages: Brilliant luxury hotel. Great location. Great value on late rate. Excellent dinner Disadvantages: Can be expensive! Back to earth with a bump once you leave!
...the majestic grandeur that is Ston Easton Park near Bath in the UK. If you are looking for an amazing romantic getaway then this has to be worth considering! I had been away in KL for two weeks in March this year and had missed my partner dearly so still having a few days off work we thought why not get a few days away. Ston Easton here we come! Booking Ston Easton Park is part of the Von Essen Hotel collection, arguably the UK’s most luxurious ... ...Essen website I settled on Ston Easton as it was part of the UK I had never been to before. I decided that Bath and Bristol would give an interesting area to explore during the days and that this would be suitable place to stay. When you visit their website you will be greeted by a number of offers and if it is later on in the week and the occupancy for the weekend is going to be low then there can be some exceptional deals, one of which we took ...

The perfect romantic getaway
Advantages: Beautiful rooms, great service Disadvantages: Expensive
...never paid to stay at the Chester Grosvenor myself - but have stayed here for business for at least 6 weeks per year for the past 5 years. Value for money it isnt but if you are not paying then enjoy the ride!
The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Chester - if you are driving to the hotel then you have to navigate a slightly confusing one way system but having won that challenge you park in the NCP carpark (free for hotel residents). You ... ...The staff cannot do enough for you - reception, down on the ground floor is always manned - the doorman wears a top hat but he always smiles and says hello. Reception staff are friendly and welcoming - they are always happy to recommend restaurants or activities to do in Chester.
The hotel decor is old fashioned - like an English country house but it has recently been done. The bedrooms have a modern twist - comfortable super king sized beds, attractive ...

Luxury at Stapleford Park
Advantages: Pure luxury! Disadvantages: I'm glad my company was paying for it!
...for an overnight stay at Stapleford Park in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. I work for a large investment house and every year the company holds a sales conference at a smart country hotel and the whole sales team is invited. Although, I should probably point out that by the word 'conference' I actually mean piss-up.
I drove through Melton Mowbray at nine in the morning, and had a chance to quickly admire the beautiful olde-worlde village before ... ...do on the grounds at Stapleford Park (they have beautifully-kept gardens, a golf course sports equipment and a spa), I only got to have a whistle stop tour of it the next day before I left.
As far as food went, we had a hot buffet lunch (stew and curry) with salads, breads and rice and in the evening I had duck, fillet steak and lemon tart. It's a testement to the quality that I can remember what I ate two months later!
After the formal dinner ...

Basic ok for overnight stop
Advantages: Central location Disadvantages: Basic ok for overnight and short stays.
Stayed at this hotel on several occassions, usually booked in the Travelodge Sale, and always been satisfied. Rooms are basic and good value when booked at discount, but we feel the Premier nearby offers better value if paying the full rate.
Rooms have basic tea making facilities, bathrooms with showers over and basic tv packages. Beds have always been comfortable and extra bedding provided on request. No on site food service other than the shrink ... ...value. Hotel is next to the main shopping centre in Hemel Hempstead where there are several cafes, all a bit pricey. Several other restaurants nearby.
If opens are open at night, noise can be a problems as this is on the race route around the town centre. Car park is small for the number of rooms and finding a space if arriving late at night can be a problem. Car parks are available nearby at a cost. ...

Basic but a good overnight stop
Advantages: Good location, basic accomodation good value at discount rate Disadvantages: Basic, only ok for short stop over or base.
...are basic as with all travelodge Hotels and have either a bath or shower room. Each room has basic TV and tea making facilities. Beds have been comfortable on each visit and each bedding/pillows provided when requested. The hotel is just off the main A303 but we have never had any issues with noise but have not opened the windows either. The hotel is in a small service area next to a Little Chef where basic meals are available. We have not used this ...
