De-lightful and stunning venue!
Advantages: Excellent service, beautiful grounds, superb accommodation Disadvantages: Not close to public transport access
...if you go to the De Vere website. After lunch we took and gentle stroll in the grounds, and were able to view parts of the golf course that are part of the complex.
As we were only staying for a long weekend, we didn't get the chance to make use of the spa and pool, which looked fantastic, and we only briefly had the chance to make use of the spacious bar area.
The only slightly negative point I would raise, is that it is not close to any public ... ...our stay directly through the De Vere website (www.devere.co.uk), and would advise to check under their "Offers" tab, as we found that they were offering 2 nights for the price 1 for the weekend we travelled, however given the wonderful level of service and standards we experienced, we would have no issues in booking this accommodation again, at the full price! ...

Tired, rundown, overpriced, rubbish customer service
Advantages: Lucky not to get food poisning Disadvantages: Staff are rubbish and hotel in state of disrepair
I have stayed in all grades of hotels all over the world but this one takes the prize for being a total joke. Its trying to be upper-class but can't even get the basics right.
Check in - they got our name wrong on the booking, but when we tried to correct this with them they seemed totally perplexed on how to do it.
The Stairs - leading to the bedrooms are broken so its very easy to trip and fall when using them. They also polish the handrails ... ...and can't grip them.
The Room - had water leak damage on the ceiling in 3 separate locations. The toilet cistern lid was broken in half. The shower/bath was very run down with lime scale everywhere and the tile grouting needed replaced. The Bed - sheets had a burn mark on them, plain white sheets with a 50pence size burn mark and the chamber staff still put it on the bed. Not very professional.
Room Key - had a massive lead weight attached to it ...

Good but not quite there!
Advantages: Clean spacious & new Disadvantages: A bit sterile and spa not up to scratch
I stayed here for two nights in July 08. The hotel was new (it had only been open a few months). I live locally but stayed here for a wedding. There was plenty of parking available and an undercover walk way to the reception area (It was raining so very much apprieciated!)
We had a block booking (6 rooms), on arrival all the bookings were as they should have been and check in was easy. We were allocated a room on the ground floor. The view was of ... ...for the view! The room had everything you needed Hair dryer, kettle with tea and coffee, iron and ironing board. There was plenty of space a large comfy double bed table with two chair and a table. Also dressing table and mirror and also good lighting (for make-up purposes!!). Room service was a bit on the slow side but nothing to really complain about and the bar area clean but a bit on the sterile side. We used the Spa facilities which offered ...

Treat Her Like a Lady...
Advantages: sumptious surroundings & food. Excellent customer service. Value for money Disadvantages: One or two very slightly shabby areas. I don't like buffet style breakfasts.
A few weeks ago I decided it was high time I had another treat (I am very good at this) and was in the mood for some sumptuous swankiness (when aren't I?). I decided to surprise my lovely fella with a weekend away in Suffolk. After a good google my search was narrowed to two nice looking country hotels on the outskirts of shopping centres. I am all for the whole countryside nature walks thing but a girl still needs to shop you know. One hotel had ... ...the outskirts of Ipswich we were off to!
I booked over the phone and was very pleased with the politeness, efficiency and friendliness of the receptionist. She confirmed prices, times and directions. I booked a breakaway deal so the price was £69.50 per person per night; not cheap, but not excessive as it included dinner, bed and breakfast
On Fridays I am lucky enough to leave work at lunchtime so, with my bag securely packed and stowed in the ...

Advantages: Everything you need under one roof. Disadvantages: Can prove to be very expensive.
...of this review but the Hilton at Coylumbridge really has so much to offer I didn't want to leave anything out!!
Having heard a lot of good reports about the Hilton Coylumbridge just outside Aviemore, we have been trying for a few years now to stay there.
