I have resorted to five stars for Lough Erne Golf Resort Advantages: Excellent food, accommodation and service Disadvantages: None The Lough Erne Golf Resort and Spa is listed on Ciao as a 4 star hotel, but it is now actually a 5 star facility. I have just reached a milestone age, I celebrated my 40th birthday and I asked my husband to arrange a night away for the two of us, a major logistical feat for us. I am a married mother of three children, aged 8, 5 and 15 months and I work full-time so arranging any free time let alone a night away is something of a major event. Why ... ...and came up with the Lough Erne Golf Resort, ?Northern Ireland?s first five star hotel?, I did some further research, checked out the Internet site, had a look on Tripadvisor and decided this was the place. You will notice that I have written that ?I did some research?, this was supposed to be a surprise birthday treat organised by my husband but he asked me to do the organising so I could find what I actually wanted. Not For Any Special Day Advantages: Reasonable price for B&B Disadvantages: Staff don't nreally no what they are doing Comfort Hotel Antrim is a relatively new hotel which I resently visited. For a family meal before attending a family wedding recepition at the Hotel. It is a large hotel very close to Antrim, with easy access to Belfast and Ballymena and is very easily found. There is a large carpark at the front of the hotel, however I am unsure if it is attended or if there is an security. I did not notice security cameras or Hotel staff in the carpark, but I also ... ...reception we attended at the Comfort Hotel because wedding gifts are expensive enough now. However, it was overall a good day. Arrived at the Hotel from the church and had to follow signs pointing everywhere to get to the very small bar where 150 people were supposed to sit until dinner was ready. Not really enough room for 50 people but we squeezed! Unfortunately, the toilets for the main resturant where at the other side of the bar the wedding ... Wonderful hotel Advantages: Very friendly staff, lovely hotel Disadvantages: A bit of a walk to the shops Recently, (all of January), Ramada da Vinci's Hotel in Londonderry had a special offer. The offer was £1 per night. Yes, £1 per night. My partner found the offer on the internet and thought it was a mistake, so she applied for the offer, and it worked, so, we booked another couple of rooms for our friends for the two weeks after that. The rooms are amazing, they have 2 large double beds, flatscreen tv, bath, power shower, fridge, iron, ironing board, ... ...wine, (wine separate at £10 for a half bottle...) Downstairs, the bar is one of them olde worlde bars, very dim, relaxing and full of antiques, the staff in the bar are very pleasant. The restaurant is amazing, the food we tried was superb, very strong flavours in the sauces, and delicate flavours in the oils. I had a 4 course meal, and it was very, very cheap... A great place to stay in Ireland Advantages: Comfort, food, staff, standards, price, location Disadvantages: Busy road outside, you need a car ...it is tastefully decorated. Keef Halla offers seven rooms of various sizes but they are all identically decorated. Their web site www.keefhalla.com shows the rooms in great detail. Prices vary depending on needs; basic single room occupancy is £50.00 per night up to £75.00 for a family room. I book via the phone, the owner always answers & tells you immediately if he has accommodation available but you can book via the website. His occupancy rate ... ...that & ample electrical sockets. Keef Halla also provide free Wi-Fi which is very convenient. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are warm in winter & cool in summer, there is no shortage of spare pillows & the rooms are cleaned to a high standard. The best thing about Keef Halla is breakfast time; here they would put a five star hotel to shame. You have breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the garden. You have a proper table cloth on ... Premier Inn Gatwick - Exceptional value for money, comfy & clean! Advantages: Excellent value for money, very comfortable, clean and tasty food. Disadvantages: A bus ride away from the North terminal I have flown from Gatwick airport early in the morning on several occasions and have always found it much easier to stay the night before and leisurely wander over to the North Terminal in the morning rather than try and make my way down in the car or on the train. I have stayed at both the Sofitel at Gatwick and the Premier Inn therefore, will review both however please be aware this is for the Premier Inn at Gatwick. I have stayed at the Premier ... ...shower. The Premier Inn Gatwick has a restaurant downstairs as well as a bar where you can order food from their bar menu. The restaurant menu is simple but the food is good, and includes dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese and steak (as of September 2009). The bar menu is a little more basic with dishes such as pizza and burgers taking pride of place. The beauty of the bar menu however, is that you can order your food and then take it back to your ...
