Concrete cows, roundabouts & ...skiing?

Advantages: Leisure facilities, high speed internet access, ample on site parking, reasonable rates, good food
Disadvantages: Some ignorant staff, ropey internet connection, VERY expensive drinks

...Hilton family includes Conrad, Coral Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites hotels, Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Homewood Suites and Scandic. LOCATION & GETTING THERE Anyone familiar with Milton Keynes will already know it is a myriad of roundabouts and dual carriageways. The hotel is easily accessible from Standing Way, and the AA website gives excellent directions if you enter postcode to postcode. ...
...much closer than the MK Hilton, yes you may pay a little more, but it could save you driving around aimlessly in the rush-hour traffic. It is also worth noting that this hotel is close by the "real" ski slope, and although I haven't used that particular one, I have "done" the one in Madrid, and was stunned at how much I enjoyed it. CHECK-IN On both occasions this was efficient and friendly. In common with most other ...

Lovely hotel for a christmas break

Advantages: Quiet location, Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, personal service
Disadvantages: Food and Drink is expensive compared to room rates

...location is the Royal Berkshire Ramada Hotel in Ascot. We'd never really considered a hotel in this area before - had always assumed it would be too expensive but this actually worked out cheaper than the previous year on room rate with us paying £250pp for 3 nights DBB. The only extra expense being drinks which seemed quite expensive. The hotel looks like a old country mansion with quite extensive grounds which are great for a walk after too big ...
...very high standard - I made sure I had a nose around everyone's room(!). They all had plenty of space to relax in for some peace and quiet. Specifically they all had little lounge areas with sofas or big arm chairs for that after lunch snooze! Our bathroom was also fantastic - almost the same size as our main room with lots of fluffy white towels and good quality toiletries. As a large group of 12, for our meals the hotel organised for us to all ...

Ramada Encore, Milton Keynes

Advantages: Location, Price

Premier Inn Gatwick - Exceptional value for money, comfy & clean!

Advantages: Excellent value for money, very comfortable, clean and tasty food.
Disadvantages: A bus ride away from the North terminal

I have flown from Gatwick airport early in the morning on several occasions and have always found it much easier to stay the night before and leisurely wander over to the North Terminal in the morning rather than try and make my way down in the car or on the train. I have stayed at both the Sofitel at Gatwick and the Premier Inn therefore, will review both however please be aware this is for the Premier Inn at Gatwick. I have stayed at the Premier ...
...shower. The Premier Inn Gatwick has a restaurant downstairs as well as a bar where you can order food from their bar menu. The restaurant menu is simple but the food is good, and includes dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese and steak (as of September 2009). The bar menu is a little more basic with dishes such as pizza and burgers taking pride of place. The beauty of the bar menu however, is that you can order your food and then take it back to your ...

We had a great time at The Shears Inn, Collingbourne Ducis

Advantages: A place to relax and unwind in the countryside, with excellent food.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...from a short stay at The Shears Inn at Collingbourne Ducis. This lovely thatched inn is enhanced by the quality of the welcome received, the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent food and drink, served by Sophie, always with a smile. We were just 15 minutes away from the stunning Stonehenge, where we enjoyed our visit on a cold but sunny morning, and 20 minutes from the lovely town of Marlborlborough where there is lots to do and see. The Inn itself ...
...alongside gallops where you may see the local race horses excercising if you are up early enough. It is a great base if you are a keen walker, there were people staying who brought their dog who was also made very welcome. All in all a great place to stay. ...
