Not the BULL HOTEL of my dreams.

Advantages: Located City Centre
Disadvantages: City centre not as good as it was.

...back in the 1950's the Bull Hotel was looked on in Peterborough as people would think about The Savoy in london. It was a place us "Common" people of Peterborogh were allowed to walk past, but not too close. To hear that someone had been for DINNER at the Bull Hotel put them into the company of Royalty. But that was then when the Population of Peterborough was about 52000 and there was just one main road going through the City. 52000 at a time ...
...the internet. First the Bull Hotel's own site. £120 for a night room only. (Mum and Dad would have turned in their graves, if we had not had them cremated. But endevor has its rewards, found a site that had a room at the Bull, still no breakfast for £40, booked it. ( I think that was a whole years Rate Bill when I was a kid) The majic day came, we even had a Taxi from the Station, its only about 400 yards, but you have to arrive at the BULL HOTEL ...

Review of Bull Hotel, Peterborough

EXPRESS by HOLIDAY INN great for family value.

Advantages: Good location but not in City centre.
Disadvantages: None if booked for what it is for.

We were to attend a Family Wedding, the reception to be held at the Marriott Hotel Peterborough. Needed a good value Hotel for the group and found this Hotel was just across the road from the Marriott. Booked thru BOOKING.COM and got three rooms. 1 Double, 1 Room for two adults and one child, 1 Room for two adults and two children. The Room prices were all the same £45 per night, with breakfast. Children sharing a room with two adults come free. ...
...wedding was at 12 o'clock so did not want to rush on the Sat morning. We wre due to arrive at 8 Fri Evening, I emailed this to the hotel and received a swift reply that this had been noted on our reservation. There is a link on the hotel web site for travel details, it is located just off the A1 next to the Peterborough Showground, so if struggling follow any sigh you see for the Show Ground, the Hotel is next to the entrance.. Marriott Hotel Peterborough

Advantages: Clean & very comfortable, good location, nice food
Disadvantages: None

We stayed at this Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the night about a month ago now because we had been invited to a friends wedding there at the hotel. This hotel has 162 rooms and it is a 3 star hotel. The location is really tranquil and the hotel is surrounded by really nice pretty gardens and large green fields. We paid £90 for a double room and we got a discount for being guests at the wedding, i think breakfast is at a small extra cost but ...

We found the staff to be really friendly but extremely professional and helpful at all times. We got checked in really quickly and within 5 minuites we were in our room. Pleasant but Very Noisy

Advantages: Good Location, Good Rooms
Disadvantages: Noisy if your room is over reception, Poor level of compensation

...We stayed in the Peterborough Holiday in for one night a few weeks ago on a Saturday. Location: The hotel was easy to find following the instructions provided from the A1(M) and was in a resonably green and pleasant location. Car parking was more than ample, even on a Saturday night. ...Our room was a standard Holiday in affair but was clean and comfortable and fairly large. The main critiscism I would have is that there was a large wedding reception going on in one of the hotels function rooms on the night we stayed. Basic ok for overnight stop

Advantages: Central location
Disadvantages: Basic ok for overnight and short stays.

Stayed at this hotel on several occassions, usually booked in the Travelodge Sale, and always been satisfied. Rooms are basic and good value when booked at discount, but we feel the Premier nearby offers better value if paying the full rate. Rooms have basic tea making facilities, bathrooms with showers over and basic tv packages. Beds have always been comfortable and extra bedding provided on request. No on site food service other than the shrink ...
...value. Hotel is next to the main shopping centre in Hemel Hempstead where there are several cafes, all a bit pricey. Several other restaurants nearby. If opens are open at night, noise can be a problems as this is on the race route around the town centre. Car park is small for the number of rooms and finding a space if arriving late at night can be a problem. Car parks are available nearby at a cost. ...
