Has this "Legacy" been forgotten?

Advantages: Clean, good price, all the basics
Disadvantages: Does not go that extra mile

...had imagined, clearly entitled “The Chesterfield Hotel,” which even lights up when it is dark making it more obvious! It is literally by a highway bridge, so outside it is not very attractive and it seems like you will be subjected to constant loud traffic noise. Check In ** My check-in was brief. I did not even need the voucher I printed from my email confirmation, just to sign some papers and confirm my address details. I was offered a wake-up ...
...you had to pay for it, unlike in most hotels) – he said they had pretty much “anything”. The receptionist then told me my room was on level 2 and I could either take the stairs or the lift – pointing each out. However, he then went off into the office behind reception, not to remerge that day. Another couple came in and were seen to by another woman in reception. I called the lift, which had the old-fashioned style door that unlocks for you to manually ...

In a Premier League of it's own.

Advantages: Clean, comfy, great breakfast
Disadvantages: The view wasn't great

...stay, both aggreeing on the Premier Inn, which is just outside the center of Chesterfield, but still easily accessible. Neither of us had ever stayed in a Premier Inn before, but we'd seen them advertised and they'd always looked nice and quite reasonable to us. *PREMIER INN* Premeir Inn is the largest hotel chain in the UK. It has 500 hotels in the UK alone, and has been open for over 20 years. Premier Inn gurantees you a good nights sleep, they're ...
...INN - CHESTERFIELD* The Premier Inn we stayed at was the Chesterfield North one. It is located on Tapton Lock Hill, just outside of the main center of Chesterfield, but within walking/driving distance. There is a restaurant at the side of the hotel, called The Lock-keeper, although unfortunately we didn't go in there. The hotel is clearly seen from the road, so is quite unmissable as it's just behind a Tesco superstore. *THE HOTEL ITSELF* Like ...

Cheap, Cheerful, and I could take the dog !

Advantages: Excellent location, reasonably priced, Wireless Internet, Pets allowed at no extra charge
Disadvantages: Wireless Internet not available in every room, midget size towels, no baths

...first experience of using the IBIS, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I do know had I have been staying with my OH, then we would have struggled with the bed because of its size - but for me on my own, you really could not fault it. The room was clean, spacious, not overly warm and staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My main gripe was the size of the towels (which would have been better as handkerchiefs, but at least now I know, ...
...At £52 + £5.25 for breakfast (the room would have been £42 had I accepted the 'no cancellation' deal), and no additional charge for the dog, I was more than happy with the overall service. Reception do ask if you are intending to leave your pet alone at any time (luckily I wasn't) If you are, they will insist on you providing them with a mobile number in case the animal gets distressed in a strange environment. Hotel Contact Details Lordsmill street ...

Basic ok for overnight stop

Advantages: Central location
Disadvantages: Basic ok for overnight and short stays.

Stayed at this hotel on several occassions, usually booked in the Travelodge Sale, and always been satisfied. Rooms are basic and good value when booked at discount, but we feel the Premier nearby offers better value if paying the full rate. Rooms have basic tea making facilities, bathrooms with showers over and basic tv packages. Beds have always been comfortable and extra bedding provided on request. No on site food service other than the shrink ...
...value. Hotel is next to the main shopping centre in Hemel Hempstead where there are several cafes, all a bit pricey. Several other restaurants nearby. If opens are open at night, noise can be a problems as this is on the race route around the town centre. Car park is small for the number of rooms and finding a space if arriving late at night can be a problem. Car parks are available nearby at a cost. ...

Basic but a good overnight stop

Advantages: Good location, basic accomodation good value at discount rate
Disadvantages: Basic, only ok for short stop over or base.

...are basic as with all travelodge Hotels and have either a bath or shower room. Each room has basic TV and tea making facilities. Beds have been comfortable on each visit and each bedding/pillows provided when requested. The hotel is just off the main A303 but we have never had any issues with noise but have not opened the windows either. The hotel is in a small service area next to a Little Chef where basic meals are available. We have not used this ...
