Overnight stay at Express by Holiday Inn, Derby

Advantages: Everything you need for an overnight stay.
Disadvantages: None.

[[[[[[[[ Express by Holiday Inn ]]]]]]]] Wheelwright Way, Pride Park, Derby DE24 8HX Tel: +44 (0)1332388000 Fax: +44 (0)1332388038 Cost: 49 pounds per room - this includes continental breakfast. This is everything you need if you are only after a nice basic room, somewhere to shower, and breakfast. You would be pushed to spend a whole day entertaining yourself in this hotel as there are only really rooms and a T.V. lounge. No outdoor play ...
...room by 12 noon. Credit cards accepted: Access, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Mastercard, Solo, Switch and Visas. Bank cheques to value of 50 pounds only when accompanied by cheque guarantee card. Small toilet trained dogs are welcome! My family stayed here overnight on a recent trip to Alton Towers. This modern red bricked building, very much like most Holiday Inn designs, is set on the outskirts of an Industrial Estate, and a fairly quiet ...

For the love of god and ur sanity DONT stay here!!

Advantages: Little to none and I'm easily pleased!
Disadvantages: Read my reviews - the bed of creepy crawlies, the staff, the management, the food, the facilities

Review of the International Hotel, Burton Street, Derby - Friday 11th to Sunday 13th August 2006 My partner and I checked into the hotel on Friday 11th August as our friends were holding their wedding reception there on the Saturday. Although I had initial reservations about staying at this hotel due to the many negative reviews I'd read by 'googling' the hotel, as we checked in I thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. We were given room ...
...main hotel (which meant that we'd have to walk 5 minutes before getting to the main building to use the bar or for breakfast and also outside a main road bus stop!) but the room was pleasant and with it being away from the main building, it was also quite. However, first impressions were that the room could do with a good going over with a vacuum cleaner as thick layers of dirt and dust were clearly visible under the dressing table, the TV unit ...

Hotel or Motel? The answer follows:-

Advantages: Good prices! Near(ish) to Alton Towers.
Disadvantages: Basic (but do-able)

Location: The hotel is on the Westbound carriageway of the A50, and is just a couple of miles from the M1, off of J24. The A50 also joins up with the M6 at the other end. This is close to the East Midlands airport, Derby, Donnington Park race Track and Alton Towers. Be aware the adverts say its just 30 mins to Alton Towers. Treat the journey as 40 mins and you'll be ok. Note on Location: The hotel and facilities are ONLY available when travelling ...
...to go up to the junction with the M1 to be able to turn round (but its only a few mins away). Hotel or Motel: If your expecting something like the Hilton or Holiday Inn (plush and fancy) then you wont like it here. If you're used to places like Travelodge or Travelinn (quite basic) then you'll be fine here. Think of this as a Motel and you wont go far wrong. Car Park: Quite a large car park is available in the front of the hotel, with space for ...

Premier Inn Gatwick - Exceptional value for money, comfy & clean!

Advantages: Excellent value for money, very comfortable, clean and tasty food.
Disadvantages: A bus ride away from the North terminal

I have flown from Gatwick airport early in the morning on several occasions and have always found it much easier to stay the night before and leisurely wander over to the North Terminal in the morning rather than try and make my way down in the car or on the train. I have stayed at both the Sofitel at Gatwick and the Premier Inn therefore, will review both however please be aware this is for the Premier Inn at Gatwick. I have stayed at the Premier ...
...shower. The Premier Inn Gatwick has a restaurant downstairs as well as a bar where you can order food from their bar menu. The restaurant menu is simple but the food is good, and includes dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese and steak (as of September 2009). The bar menu is a little more basic with dishes such as pizza and burgers taking pride of place. The beauty of the bar menu however, is that you can order your food and then take it back to your ...

We had a great time at The Shears Inn, Collingbourne Ducis

Advantages: A place to relax and unwind in the countryside, with excellent food.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...from a short stay at The Shears Inn at Collingbourne Ducis. This lovely thatched inn is enhanced by the quality of the welcome received, the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent food and drink, served by Sophie, always with a smile. We were just 15 minutes away from the stunning Stonehenge, where we enjoyed our visit on a cold but sunny morning, and 20 minutes from the lovely town of Marlborlborough where there is lots to do and see. The Inn itself ...
...alongside gallops where you may see the local race horses excercising if you are up early enough. It is a great base if you are a keen walker, there were people staying who brought their dog who was also made very welcome. All in all a great place to stay. ...
