Last Drop Village Hotel

Advantages: Full usage of Spa, gym, pool
Disadvantages: Choice of food served in main restaurant

We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery ...
...Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website. In my opinion there website does not do the hotel justice and needs some updating. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel then this is the one surroundings are lovely. Overall we have had a very pleasurable stay. ...

A fantastic North West hotel

Advantages: Luxurious and with impressive service and location
Disadvantages: Food is excellent but expensive

I have had the good fortune to stay at this hotel twice in the past year and I have nothing but praise to bestow on both experiences. The hotel is certainly stunning to look at, being built directly onto the side of Bolton Wanderers state of the art Reebok Stadium, and extremely easy to find - as soon as you leave the M61 at junction 5 (Horwich) you can't fail to spot the stadium rising into the sky less than a mile away, parking is ample and safe ...
...I paid only £85 and £95 respectively online for an executive suite, which was absolutely huge with all the extras such as a leather suite, complimentary chocolate, his and hers dressing gowns, and luxurious decoration. If you are feeling particularly flash with the money there are 19 rooms which offer a view of the pitch - £345 will get you you 2 nights bed and breakfast with a perfect view of the Premiership football on a Saturday afternoon. The ...

Premier Inn - Oldham Central

Advantages: Clean, good staff, nice breakfast
Disadvantages: Terrible bed

...- was the Oldham Central Premier Inn (about 12 miles from the Gmex where we were planning to park). Now this hotel is literally right next to Oldham football ground and they were playing at home but we had absolutely no problem getting a room! We actually hadn't realised that the game was on, otherwise we would have pushed it a bit on the way up and got there in time to go and see the match. There were lots of cars parked in the surrounding streets ...
...seems to be standard for Premier Inn so there was lots of room to manoeuvre and there was also a chair and table. The décor was nothing to write home about, with a rusty brown carpet & curtains but the room was very clean and there was a heater which warmed the room quickly - ideal as it was a cold night and the window had been open when we arrived. The TV on the desk, had a swivel stand so you could watch it whether you were in bed or sitting in ...

Quaint but at a cost

Advantages: Personal, freindly staff, clean, location
Disadvantages: cost, and old fashioned

...night of romance at the Pack horse hotel! so we booked it for 5 days later. Our choice of the hotel was mainly down to the fact that the Moat house and others alike were the more traditional business man or Friday night slapper resort and looks as such the pack horse has a traditional long heritage in Bolton and its look reflects that from the outside. Situated in a square with bars and clubs surrounding and a few decent restaurants its ideal for ...
...the strip and then a required taxi, basically it's all there in one convenient spot. In fact if you were wanting to go into town the next day or before its right there in it and ready. So the night started as we met, instead of going out together we left separately and met up at a certain time, 8pm in a cocktail bar, that then commenced a gift swapping session and a few cocktails, that I can't remember the names but they were every colour of the ...

Buzz into Bury?

Advantages: Very good value for money, for facilities offered, especially for families
Disadvantages: none

...couple of nights at the Village Hotel and Leisure Club at Bury. Village Hotels are part of a much larger group, including De Vere Hotels, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin. I have been familiar with Village Hotels for a long time, having frequented many a works conference or party at other hotels within the North West 15-20 years ago; (however I should point out that I now work for another part of this group.) The hotel, which is a modern purpose built ...
...a comfortable stay at the Village Hotel Bury. Prices for rooms are certainly very affordable and I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to Manchester – making sure I get better use of the leisure facilities next time.
