Maikle Barfil - Lovely place to relax

Tarbet House - a cut above the rest!
Advantages: Stunning views, modern and spacious!
Disadvantages: Does not cater for children or pets

The house Tarbet House is set high above the village of Tarbet on 7 acreas of land. It has spectacular views of Loch Lomond on the southern side and Ben Lomond on the western side. ...I honestly could not fault Tarbet House. It was spotless, modern and you were made welcome. One fault that some people may find is that children and pets aren't catered for but that wasn't a problem for me. Also, it is a bed and breakfast so dinner isn't availble but that didn't matter because it was nice to go out and try out different restuarants/foods. Christmas at Cranage
Advantages: Attractive hotel, good facilities, excellent party atmosphere
Disadvantages: Expensive bar prices, rude waiting staff
...with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! This place should be more than 3 stars!
Advantages: Beautiful location, friendly staff and clean, functional rooms
Disadvantages: Too far away from my house!
At the end of November - my Dad was married in Scotland. He booked the Tigh Na Mara hotel out for all the family, this included all the rooms they hotel has so I can helpfully rate the hotel as a whole. The hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation. The hotel also has a bar/pub, and around the back is a restaurant. Both of these are open to the public.
