Holiday Inn, Gatwick Advantages: Very near the airport. Disadvantages: none I stayed at the holiday Inn Gatwick with my family before and after flying out to the caribbean. It was clean and friendly and even the kids enjoyed it. The rooms were quite spacious with tea and coffe facilities. I even called reception as there was only one hot chocolate between the 2 children, and they were at our room within minutes with more sachets and packets of biscuits. I paid £104.00 to stay one night bed, breakfast and evening meal at this hotel and feel let down by the whole experience. Excellent Accomodation & Great Staff Advantages: Close to Gatwick airport, clean, friendly & well equiped, pick up/drop off service included Disadvantages: not a business hotel A very nice family run hotel, the rooms are very well equiped, clean & comfortable, tv, coffee/tea making facilities, ensuite shower. staff are warm, friendly & helpful. Great price and free shuttle to & from Gatwick airport which is only 5 mins away so ideal stop over. Hotel has a small bar with a large flatscreen tv & offers meals throughout the day, the breakfasts are very good with a large selection of items on offer from full english to cerials ... ...as for adults & offers excellent value for singles also. I have stayed in this hotel with my family which included a 5 year old & 16 year old, the hotel is just the right size for you to feel safe I also felt that my youngest child was safe sitting in the tv room downstairs or having something to eat in the restaurant, there is always a staff member at arms length if you need anything. THE UNFRIENDLY CLUB'' - Advantages: None Disadvantages: So many ...will refuse to do especially when they have taken £25 of my good earned cash. Holiday Inn Shepperton - prebooked? Beware - if you cancel Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: ALL ...to cancel the stay with Holiday Inn re the current extreme bad weather problems for the journey by car from the North West for my 93 year old mother whose health would not be up to making such a potentially dangerous / uncertain journey. Holiday Inn Shepperton have refused to give us a refund for cancellation of the booking which we find unbelievable given the current weather conditions. Its the Holiday Inn attitude that pees me off, basically ... ...had a problem with a Holiday Inn booking in the '80s in the USA - wishing to transfer from a Holiday Inn in Hollywood where we had been staying to one at Anaheim - they made the transfer ok - but still charged us for the days stay not taken at Hollywood !
