Not the best but well worth a mention
Advantages: lovely conservatory breakfast room Disadvantages: not the prettiest from the front
The De Vere Hotels are a rather lovely "chain" of hotels which can be found all over the UK. They are not your cheapest brand of hotel prices range from approx £110 right up to £400 or so per night. Deals can be found all over the place though, I found my deal at lastminute which was £100 for b&b. The Hotel we stayed at was The De Vere in Southampton which was okay to look at but nothing special (basically a big brick building!) It has a massive ... ...was quite impressive looking with valet parking on offer and doorman at the entrance welcoming you in. I enjoyed my stay at the Southampton De Vere and would really recommend it especially if you can get a good deal! Also on dooyoo under the same name ...

10 is a magic number
Advantages: Great full breakfast the next morning Disadvantages: Bad customer service, lack of towels, no minibar, traffic noise
...more than surprised when the Hilton came top of the list on Expedia and Last Minute.com. The average price for a double room in most standard hotels in Southampton is around £80 per night. But for some unknown reason the Hilton was only £40! After a bit more research I decided to plump for this and make the most of it.
Booking
I can’t vouch for the official Hilton hotel site as I booked this trip through Expedia. However, I looked at the ... ...I’d been to the Hilton in Southampton before, but never to stay, only for another dinner. Therefore I was quite aware that it was nowhere near the city centre. I guess this is part of the reason for their massive drop in price for the rooms (which are ordinarily also around £80 per night). The hotel is situated near the M3/M27 junction into Swaythling in Southampton. I did some research before hand and worked out that an average taxi bill to the ...

Ideal hotel for families visiting Southampton
Advantages: Family friendly, comfortable, good location Disadvantages: Rooms too small for long term stays
This hotel is easy to find, situated off the M271. Despite its location close to the motorway, it is a quiet place to stay. From this location you are 10 minutes away from the city centre and under 5 minutes to the M27 which provides access to the New Forest to the west and the M3 and Portsmouth to the east. Parking is plentiful and well lit. Booking-in was simple which is appreciated when you have tired and impatient children to contend with! Rooms ... ...well stocked and tasty - although cooked breakfasts are not available, there is something for everyone. Reception staff were very helpful and provided good local knowledge. We often travel to Southampton to visit friends and family and rate this hotel as one of the better ones of its price range. ...

It's on a roundabout, not Crossroads
Advantages: Good amount of facilities Disadvantages: Dont look behind the Hotel!
Hello there and welcome to my 26th review. Southampton is one of them towns that people go to and go through, mainly because of ferries to the Isle of Wight and the cruise businesses that are based there as well as being a vibrant student town. The reason I visited was because it was a friends birthday, so a celebration in order. So unless I was going to be off the 'magic juice' and drive back to London that I had to find a hotel room. After ringing ... ...I was recommended to call the Jury's Inn, and after a 3 hour drive from London the expectations were set at high. Jury's Inn are a national chain of hotels.
---The Hotel---
The Hotel itself is brand new 3 Star 12 floor building with a massive 270 rooms, in the last year construction of the underground car park has been completed. The building is situated at Charlotte Place which on a roundabout where you have a three lane one way system going the ...

Express Yourself
Advantages: Cost, Location, Breakfast Included, Quality, Cleanliness Disadvantages: No restaurant or pub next door
...stayed at the Holiday Inn Express located in Southampton for an overnight trip during the weekend. Normally I would stay in a Travel Inn but these were ALL booked from Hastings to Southampton. It was going to be hot and sunny so everyone wanted to be by the seaside. Then, I stumbled across the Holiday Inn Express website and found that they had a hotel located in Southampton.
To my relief they had a family room available and the price would not ... ...There are around 60 Express hotels located throughout the UK with more hotels located on mainland Europe.
Prices will vary depending on where you wish to stay. If you stay inner city it will cost more. For example a room located at the Birmingham NEC will cost between £45-£70, a room located in London may cost you from £50-£90. At Southampton the normal cost of a room will be around £45. Prices include a continental breakfast – self-serve ...
