Fantastic Hotel

Advantages: very central to all the local tourist attractions
Disadvantages: a boring route round the m25 to get there from surrey!

...anyone who thinks that all Best Westerns are just business mens hotels. Dont bother going to kings lynn tho, we tried to see if it was worth a visit on the harleys but we were faced with horrid industrial estates and one way systems. We stayed in the new wing, which despite having settlement cracks which is to be expected was 5 star standard. ...

The Hamilton Hotel

Advantages: Good location, nice, friendly, family run hotel
Disadvantages: None to speak of

...from 19/10/07 - 21/10/07 at the Hamilton to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary and both enjoyed our stay finding the staff always to be friendly, helpful and most of all approachable. The hotel is going through a transitional change with the bar/relaxing and resteraunt areas already completed to a higher modern standard. I am sure when the rooms go through as the next stage they will be to the same standard, although in fairness we where more ...

Not As Expected

Advantages: Near to beach which was beautiful
Disadvantages: Nowhere to park near by, little in the way of extras

...room for two chairs, and all that was supplied in the bathroom was handwash. There were no other complimentary products of any kind, not even a packet of biscuits to have with your tea. Breakfast was strictly 7:30-8:30 (not what you'd want on your Honeymoon), and breakfast in bed was available only at extra cost. The cooked breakfast did not appear to be freshly cooked (rock hard egg), and the impression was given that they wanted you in and out ...
...only told us they needed our card number to confirm our booking, not that we would be paying for it there and then. All in all a great disappointment, and certainly wouldnt recommend it for a Honeymooning couple especially for the money. On a positive note, cannot fault the cleanliness. ...

Christmas at Cranage

Advantages: Attractive hotel, good facilities, excellent party atmosphere
Disadvantages: Expensive bar prices, rude waiting staff

...with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! Cranage Hall is part of the Principal Hayley group of conference venues and hotels but for us it was the setting of our Christmas 'do' and a well-deserved night away. Christmas Deals Our party had taken advantage of one of the ...
...when we pulled up outside Cranage Hall. The exterior is very grand and imposing and it was much bigger than I expected. Our sat nav managed to direct us to the hotel without any problems as the hotel is just a couple of miles out of Holmes Chapel, in the village of Cranage. There was more than adequate car parking available, despite the hotel being packed with other Christmas revellers, although it did mean a short walk over to the main entrance ...

This place should be more than 3 stars!

Advantages: Beautiful location, friendly staff and clean, functional rooms
Disadvantages: Too far away from my house!

At the end of November - my Dad was married in Scotland. He booked the Tigh Na Mara hotel out for all the family, this included all the rooms they hotel has so I can helpfully rate the hotel as a whole. The hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation. The hotel also has a bar/pub, and around the back is a restaurant. Both of these are open to the public. The picture which is displayed for the Tigh Na Mara isn't correct - I will attach the correct ...
...beach, which is unspoilt. Opposite The Tigh Na Mara hotel is a park, which consists of 2 adult swings, 2 baby swings, a slide and a see-saw. Also in the village is a Tea Room and a post office/mini-market. The rest is made up of quaint village houses, and the hotel, pub and restaurant of the Tigh Na Mara. Nearby Attractions Located nearby is the town of Stranraer, where ferries can be taken to Ireland. Port Patrick, The Mull of Galloway - which ...
