Treat Her Like a Lady... Advantages: sumptious surroundings & food. Excellent customer service. Value for money Disadvantages: One or two very slightly shabby areas. I don't like buffet style breakfasts. A few weeks ago I decided it was high time I had another treat (I am very good at this) and was in the mood for some sumptuous swankiness (when aren't I?). I decided to surprise my lovely fella with a weekend away in Suffolk. After a good google my search was narrowed to two nice looking country hotels on the outskirts of shopping centres. I think it's now my favourite! Advantages: Everything you would want from a hotel Disadvantages: None that are obvious ...has to be price! The Salthouse Harbor Hotel is a 4* hotel and located in the UK you would expect to pay well over £100 per night to stay there and yes it is possible to pay over that for a night. As it is pitching itself for the business clientele a standard twin room with bed and breakfast as £145 per night Monday – Thursday, with a reduced rate of £135 for one person staying in the room. They then have a prestige room at a rate of £160 per night ... ...accomodate dogs and are more than happy for them to stay in the room with you if you wanted to bring them! Premier Inn Gatwick - Exceptional value for money, comfy & clean! Advantages: Excellent value for money, very comfortable, clean and tasty food. Disadvantages: A bus ride away from the North terminal I have flown from Gatwick airport early in the morning on several occasions and have always found it much easier to stay the night before and leisurely wander over to the North Terminal in the morning rather than try and make my way down in the car or on the train. I have stayed at both the Sofitel at Gatwick and the Premier Inn therefore, will review both however please be aware this is for the Premier Inn at Gatwick. The restaurant menu is simple but the food is good, and includes dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese and steak (as of September 2009). We had a great time at The Shears Inn, Collingbourne Ducis Advantages: A place to relax and unwind in the countryside, with excellent food. Disadvantages: Can't think of any ...from a short stay at The Shears Inn at Collingbourne Ducis. This lovely thatched inn is enhanced by the quality of the welcome received, the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent food and drink, served by Sophie, always with a smile. We were just 15 minutes away from the stunning Stonehenge, where we enjoyed our visit on a cold but sunny morning, and 20 minutes from the lovely town of Marlborlborough where there is lots to do and see. Stunning hotel both inside and out Advantages: The room, the price, everything really except the car park Disadvantages: The car park! Thought I would share my experience staying at this hotel last year. When I originally booked I just wanted a standard room, unfortunately they were all booked so the person on the phone said I could have a family room, which would be the same price. The hotel is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with Manchester city centre, however the main problem is the car park - TOTAL NIGHTMARE!! CAR PARK It's way too small for the number of ... ...When I arrived around 5pm it was full and I was not the only person disppointed. However the hotel had employed someone to direct you to another carpark, the problem was he was as much use as a chocolate teapot!!
