The Angel Inn: A Peaceful Place to Stay....but not on a budget.
Advantages: Excellent location, good breakfasts, restful atmosphere.
Disadvantages: High room rates, rooms could be more spacious, cool welcome.

A FAIR OLD TIME AT THE FAIRLAWNS
Advantages: Delicious food, friendly staff & a overall nice enviroment to be in
Disadvantages: Some spa treatments could be improved

Premier Inn Gatwick - Exceptional value for money, comfy & clean!
Advantages: Excellent value for money, very comfortable, clean and tasty food.
Disadvantages: A bus ride away from the North terminal
I have flown from Gatwick airport early in the morning on several occasions and have always found it much easier to stay the night before and leisurely wander over to the North Terminal in the morning rather than try and make my way down in the car or on the train. I have stayed at both the Sofitel at Gatwick and the Premier Inn therefore, will review both however please be aware this is for the Premier Inn at Gatwick.

The Premier Inn Gatwick has a restaurant downstairs as well as a bar where you can order food from their bar menu. The restaurant menu is simple but the food is good, and includes dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese and steak (as of September 2009). We had a great time at The Shears Inn, Collingbourne Ducis
Advantages: A place to relax and unwind in the countryside, with excellent food.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

Stunning hotel both inside and out
Advantages: The room, the price, everything really except the car park
Disadvantages: The car park!
Thought I would share my experience staying at this hotel last year.
When I originally booked I just wanted a standard room, unfortunately they were all booked so the person on the phone said I could have a family room, which would be the same price.
The hotel is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with Manchester city centre, however the main problem is the car park - TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!

...When I arrived around 5pm it was full and I was not the only person disppointed. However the hotel had employed someone to direct you to another carpark, the problem was he was as much use as a chocolate teapot!! He was difficult to understand (I'm not against foreign people working in the UK), but when you've been in a car for nearly 5 hours and just want to park the wretched thing the last thing you want is to hear is a person speaking broken english ...
