HUNGARY HORSE IN STIRLING
Review of Hungry Horse by chaza83

Advantages: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
Disadvantages: A BIT GRUBBY

The only Hungry Horse restaurant i have personally ate in is the one situated in Stirling, Scotland. My first impresions i had when i walked in were that it was a very family friendly place with cheap food and beverages on the down side though it wasnt the cleanest place i have been and it was all a bit dull in colour. On ordering the staff were very polite and helpfull a lot beter than a lot of the staff you come across in even the poshest places, ...
...is a good selling point and important when eating out. The food was served hot, and we didnt wait to long between ordering and eating, this is always good!!! Then there was the food, the portions were huge more than enough and the food tasty although i was a bit shocked when my chicken came whole including the carcus!!!! I would recomend it to anyone who enjoys to eat out but lives on a budget. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY ... Read review

A disappearing treat
Review of Brewsters by magilacudy

Advantages: Child Friendly
Disadvantages: ? Being fazed out?

...am of course talking about Brewsters those restaurants, sometimes but not always, situated along side Premier Inn Hotels that are part of the Brewers Fayre group, owned by Whitbread and almost always positioned by busy "through" roads but not inaccessible to residents of the towns nearby. The thing that really sets them apart from other similar restaurant chains is the provision of child friendly areas both inside and outside the premises. Play ...
...happened. This year our nearest Brewsters closed for refurbishment and we learned that the play area was going, not just the inside play barn but the outside area too. We haven't been back. More recently our next nearest Brewer's Fayre was refurbished and the outside play area has gone. Speaking to the staff and looking online reveals a massive upgrade of the whole brand. Right now we have only one establishment where there are facilities remaining ... Read review

Beefeater Restaurant. The Granary Peterborough
Review of Beefeater Restaurants by katylou4

Advantages: Quick Food
Disadvantages: Quick food

...was edible but very poor quality. It just seemed thrown on the plate. The service was also very poor The Beefeater seems not to of moved on from what they were serving in the 70's. There was nothing exciting about the meal experience & not a restaurant I'd visit again. ... Read review

Brewer's Fayre in general
Review of Brewers Fayre by kernow21

Advantages: Cheap affordable food and an informal night out.
Disadvantages: Service can be impersonal.

Brewer's Fayre restaurants are great places to go and eat when you want a bit of a night out at not too great an expense, or even when you just don't feel like washing up! There are many of these restaurants around the country, so it's good to visit your local one and find out what you like on the menu as whenever you go anywhere you can go to the nearest Brewer's Fayre and know exactly what you're going to get. The restaurants themselves are always ...
...is very nice, with several different little areas so you can decide to to be cosy and tucked away or out in the main bar area et. They also always have lots of different table sizes so they can normally accommodate any number of people. Normally they don't take booking however if you are going for a special occassion or have a large party of people like 6 + they will normally take a booking. The food itself is quite standard pub grub style of food, ... Read review

Not good
Review of Brewers Fayre Dunelm Ridge, Durham by Caz.pink

Advantages: Thought I had saved money by not eating
Disadvantages: Bad service

Very bad experience here. We waited 50 minutes for food & when I went back to the bar to get a refund I was not given an apology nor did he attempt to see where our food was. When he refunded me he gave us our money for the food but had the cheek to charge us for our drinks. Also when I got my credit card statement in they did not refund me my money & I therefore had to send a copy of my credit card statement & the refund receipts (which luckily ... Read review
