A Han-dy Choice for Chinese
Review of Han Chinese Restaurant, Market Harborough by koshkha

Advantages: Great food, fair prices, good service
Disadvantages: Nothing I can think of

...and Market Harborough - the Han is our Chinese of choice. It's located in the small Leicestershire market town of Market Harborough and you can find it on St Mary's Road. For those who know the town, it's the road which runs from the Market Square towards the railway station. With the Square behind you, pass the new Starbucks on the left hand side and it's just a hundred meters or so further along. From the outside your first instincts might be ...
...is because the Han is on two levels and you will only be able to see the downstairs reception area. Here there are sofas and coffee tables where people usually wait (with an obligatory basket of prawn crackers of course) for the other members of their party to arrive. Once you have all your family and friends gathered, the waitresses will take you upstairs to the main restaurant. First instincts may well be that the Han is a bit like a Tardis - ... Read review

NOT JUST FOR FRIDAYS!
Review of TGI Fridays by SweetTooth93

Advantages: Widely available, huge choice of food, all food hot, tastey, not overly expensive, good atmosphere
Disadvantages: Can be noisy, some staff, waiting time, un-organised

...meal would be eaten in TGI Friday's. The day before our meal was due to take place, we phoned, just to make sure a table would be available for us, as after all it would be a Friday night, around tea time. The man on the phone did seem rather grumpy and rude, and bluntly told us that we couldn't be one hundred percent sure that there would be table, and we would be much better off reserving a table. We agreed, and were charged only a little extra. ...
...an illuminous pink sign reading TGI Fridays' hung above the large wooden doors. Entering through the wooden doors, we suddenly thanked ourselves for deciding to reserve a table, as the place was absolutley heaving with people. The restaurant was really quite noisy, which we were a bit dusturbed by and were a bit worried it would ruin our meal, however after about five minutes in the building our ears all adjusted to the rambling sound of conversation, ... Nando's Glasgow Fort
Review of Nandos by cheekyegg

Advantages: Near the Car Park.
Disadvantages: Too Near other food outlets

I visited Nando's at Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre and the service was absolutely brilliant. The staff were all really friendly and willing to help by offering to detail the menu. After ordering at the bar, the food arrived really quickly. I had a Pitta Bread with some spicy chicken and salad and a portion of spicy chips. This was really good. Also the free top-ups of soft drinks was fab. The surroundings were really good and the decore was interesting. ... Read review

Eat Fresh For Less - Subway
Review of Subway by Marvell

Advantages: Cheap, tasty and healthy
Disadvantages: Lunchtime Lines.

WHAT IS SUBWAY? Subway was founded in 1965 the first Subway was built in USA however since then, the population of Subway restaurants has grown and world wide there are now a total of 29,610 restaurants. The Subway chain has found it's way over the Atlantic to English shores and is very famous many love and Wednesday is my favourite day, find out why. Subway restaurants come big, small short and tall and regardless, the taste is second to none ...
...feels homely in a way. Subway is instantly recognisable by the sign hanging on each door outside the restaurant. The outside of the shop is a deep green colour, but quite bright, with the word SUBWAY writtin in white and yellow writing. The LARGE SUB in white and LARGE WAY in yellow. There will also be a small sign sticking out from the building, the same as the sign on the front of the shop, but visible to people walking towards the restaurant. ... Read review

Elegant above the water, paddling like crazy below
Review of The Swan at Lamport, Northamptonshire by koshkha

Advantages: Looks great
Disadvantages: Under the surface it's all a bit poor

The Swan at Lamport is our most local up-market restaurant but we've hardly been there for the past couple of years because every time we decide to give it 'one more chance' we come away feeling really let down. It ought to be a fantastic restaurant and elements of it are indeed outstanding; the trouble is that they never seem to be able to pull everything together at any one time. Where is it? The location is great - well obviously it's ...
...have a fantastic position on the top of the hill opposite Lamport Hall (the local stately home) with views for miles across the hillside. Often you'll park up and find a field full of sheep to entertain you. First Impressions The décor is exceptional - this restaurant really looks the part of the classy gastro-pub or bistro. It's like something straight out of a style magazine with lots of bleached wooden tables, fabric runners, menus on ... Read review
