Upper Austria is possibly the most under rated place in europe.If your looking for a healthy,stregnthening breath of fresh air the place for you is austria.Upper austria is a very good place to go and expieriance the village life of people who are decades behind in technology.After being there for a year i have come back and feel I have done something that no one else has done and it is a truly liberating expieriance that I can recommend to anyone.If you get the chance to work out there and are confident you can enjoy yourself and get in a bit of dosh aswell.By work however i mean possibly working on afarm and this is quite physically demanding so if your not cut out for it dont do it!

to mention Innsbrück, twice an Olympic Games host. Salzburg is right on the border with Germany and is probably known for two musical reasons, first of all Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and secondly, The Sound of Music.
Moving East of Salzburg, the provinces of Lower and UpperAustria, are on the edge of the Magyar Plain, and in the middle of Lower Austria is the city state Vienna. Vienna has a wonderful array of galleries, theatres and a world famous opera house. It also has impressive architecture from the baroque, through Jugendstil, through to the alternative style of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The city is lively, vibrant and safe, and served by an excellent tram system and underground.
To the East of Vienna, there is flat land heading towards Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and of course until World War I these countries ...
