My in laws own a couple of houses in Valencia so my hubby and I have spent some quality time there. I love the fact that the Valencia area is so very Spanish and that just 20 mins drive from the airport you can be in some gorgeous rural locations, Olive Groves etc. The shopping is great. The town is very bustly. We looked at houses out there it is amazing what you can buy for very little money. That is definately on my to do list. The beaches are lovely and clean. The pubs and restaurants are cheap. There are plenty of very Spanish towns closeby like Gandia. Valencia is just a few hours drive from Barcelona so I have included day trips there whilst out there.
