Advantages: Beautiful quite place to relax and unwinde Disadvantages: once you go there you may not want to go back
...Only about 2 hours away from Alacante airport. Valencia is a beautiful city with art galleries everywhere its is breathtaking
Valencia is a sensitively planned, intelligently balanced new town that truly offers something for everyone. Valenca is well known for the paseos. This is an extensive walkway system which features lighted, paved walkways, bridges and tunnels throughout the entire community, and more rustic, natural trails in hillside preserves. It is the perfect place the relax and be one with nature. The paseos go on for an amazing 28 miles and link other communites throughout the area. If you are looking for a romantic holiday walk through the paseos at night and have the moon glaring on you to make the most romantic setting with your loved one.
There is plenty to do for families too! In Valencia residential neighbourhoods...

Advantages: Very Spanish Disadvantages: Driving was a scary experience
...My in laws own a couple of houses in Valencia so my hubby and I have spent some quality time there. I love the fact that the Valencia area is so very Spanish and that just 20 mins drive from the airport you can be in some gorgeous rural locations, Olive Groves etc. The shopping is great. The town is very bustly. We looked at houses out there it is amazing what you can buy for very little money. That is definately on my to do list. The beaches are lovely and clean. The pubs and restaurants are cheap. There are plenty of very Spanish towns closeby like Gandia. Valencia is just a few hours drive from Barcelona so I have included day trips there whilst out there....

Advantages: lovely city must visit Disadvantages: very very busy roads
...Valencia city is only a few minutes from the airport,it is very nice and has a great tube system where for 10.80 you can buy a ticket that could in effect take you on 10 single journeys all around Valencia, there is a great indoor market some great churches and a really great beach which you can get to buy tram. The resturants are also very good value and great food. If you have a car within no time atall you can be in some very nice typical spanish villages such as Lliria which is about 25 km away, Valencia also has Europes largest aquiriam which is spectacular well worth a visit. Valencia also has a great festival called La Fallas fireworks flames noise great fun a real must see event....
