Harbourside Hotel in Vancouver
Review of Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside, Vancouver by jo145

Advantages: 4 Star hotel in Downtown Vancouver
Disadvantages: Just a few extras to make the room better

...train, we entered the busy Renaissance hotel lobby and spied one of our cases, linked with others and all padlocked together. The bell boy was surprised when we asked about our other two cases, but we discovered that they had already been taken to our room and were assured the other would go immediately. True to their word it was safely in the room a few moments later as check in was very quick and efficient, just a switch of our credit card for ...
...the gift shop sold them! Renaissance lose 2 points! Restaurants The main restaurant is called the Patina Restaurant and this was used for dinner and breakfast. We ate two nights in here as the food had been so good and we didn't feel like going out in the rain! Lovely wooden tables in various sizes were spaced out quite well, the top was inlaid with a bronze coloured top. Linen serviettes both at breakfast and dinner pleased me very much, ... Read review

A hotel with a great location, great view
Review of Empire Landmark Hotel and Conference Center, Vancouver by gilberty

Advantages: great location, great view
Disadvantages: room is a little bit old, not best for money choice

I have been to this hotel on August 26, 2007. It has a nice location, just on the most attractive street, Robson street, namely in the heart of Vancouver. Definitely a downtown hotel, where has a colorful night life. On the both sides of the street are full of bars, restaurants, shops. It is one of the best place to enjoy oriental food there, Japanese food, Thai food, Chinese food, Korean food. Short walking distance to the famous Stanley park. Aslo ...
...the Stanley Park. Great location. As for the building itself. An magnificient view from out side. Especially when you are on one of the top floor, you can overview the whole Vancouver. Great view. Some disappointments: the room is a little bit old, not as modern as you expect from outside. ... Read review

The Wedgewood
Review of Wedgewood Hotel, Vancouver by tofino98

Advantages: Great location
Disadvantages: The bar and restaurant are expensive.

We have stayed at this fantastic hotel twice now, and would go back there tomorrow! We stayed in their junior suite, which was great value for money, especially with the exchange rate. The room comprised of a large sitting room with television, sofa, mini bar and stools, a balcony, table and chairs. The bedroom was large with another television set and a fabulous well stocked bathroom (including a telephone!). There was fresh ice delivered daily, ...
...is described as a boutique hotel, so you feel like you are in a small, classy european hotel. We used their laundry service and inhouse movies which worked well. The hotel restaurant is outstanding. The afternoon tea is a must. It is served in the old fashioned english style, sandwiches, cakes and tea. I believe the restaurant has achieved awards, and the menu is very intersting Wine is expensive, but we found that to be the case in most places ... Read review

Pre-cruise stay
Review of Days Inn - Vancouver Downtown, Vancouver by blake90

Advantages: close to cruise terminal; comfortable bed, housekeeping
Disadvantages: Limited restaurant facilities; no room service; noise - air con; laundry room;ice machine

Stayed here on two nights on separate occasions. First, the night before embarking on a cruise. Secondly, when we booked a last minute room after being disappointed with another hotel in Vancouver. Lobby staff were professional and efficient. Rooms are compact but with good amenities: coffee percolator, fridge, complimentary bottled water. Flat screen TV. Air con a little too efficient as hard to regulate temperature and noisy. The standard of the ... Read review

Honeymoon night heaven
Review of Pacific Palisades Hotel, Vancouver by blake90

Advantages: Extremely high standard designer hotel, in house spa, restaurant, gallery
Disadvantages: Hard to find even using map with main access down a side road

After an international flight this hotel was an oasis of cool citrus calm. As a choice for the first night of our honeymoon we went upmarket but found a great rate on a Travelzoo link. Lobby water features create an ambience, helping ease us into Vancouver time. Our room was a suite, complete with sunken bath and power shower and comlimentary bath robes. The bed was very comfortable. air con was cool! An honesty bar included a whole range of alcoholic ... Read review
