Advantages: Every room is a mini-suite
Disadvantages: lousy food, smarmy service

Every time I pass Le Soleil, I shudder to remember the terrible service. It's a shame, because the hotel is nicely appointed, the prices are reasonable, the location is central, and the rooms are extremely comfortable. But I will not be back. ...Vancouver's West End business district, Le Soleil is on Hornby Street, close to the Art Gallery, Robson Street shopping, and about a 15 minute walk from Stanley Park. I have stayed in the Fairmont Waterfront several times, including 2 stays on the Gold floor. The reception area is really impressive, and a great place to sit if you have a few minutes. Check in is slick and welcoming - even better if you are booked on the Gold floor as you go straight up there, and book in in with the special concierge. All the rooms that I have stayed in are huge, with great view of the Waterfront, although the views are becoming ...

The concierge service on the Gold floor is quite amazing, with the staff always ready to help and advise - including getting bookings in "full" restaurants etc. Breakfast on the Gold floor is great - but even better if you eat in the main restaurant downstairs. We have stayed at this fantastic hotel twice now, and would go back there tomorrow! We stayed in their junior suite, which was great value for money, especially with the exchange rate. The room comprised of a large sitting room with television, sofa, mini bar and stools, a balcony, table and chairs. The bedroom was large with another television set and a fabulous well stocked bathroom (including a telephone!). There was fresh ice delivered daily, ...
...is described as a boutique hotel, so you feel like you are in a small, classy european hotel. We used their laundry service and inhouse movies which worked well. The hotel restaurant is outstanding. The afternoon tea is a must. It is served in the old fashioned english style, sandwiches, cakes and tea. The bell boy was surprised when we asked about our other two cases, but we discovered that they had already been taken to our room and were assured the other would go immediately. We ate two nights in here as the food had been so good and we didn't feel like going out in the rain! I have been to this hotel on August 26, 2007. It has a nice location,just on the most attractive street, Robson street, namely in the heart of Vancouver. Definitely a downtown hotel, where has a colorful night life. On the both sides of the street are full of bars, restaurants, shops. It is one of the best place to enjoy oriental food there, Japanese food, Thai food, Chinese food, Korean food. Short walking distance to the famous Stanley park. Aslo ...
