See Venice and Die! This is an amazing place and you could not really imaging unless you actually go. I have been to Venice on a few occasions and would certainly go back because each time you go you discover something new. Although sometimes it is frustrating getting lost, but i guess this is how you discover things that are not noted in any tour book. It is very crowded in the months of July and August with tourists, but I feel that this was not a problem for me! Each time visiting Venice my base was Lido di Jesolo which is only approx 1hr in the bus. Lido di jesolo benga beach resort! Walking through the small narrow street of Venice is breathtaking and looking at all the old architecture, discovering a tiny mask making shop or an elegant designer shop and then suddenly you are upon Piazza San Marco. This Square is fabulous, it is so big like you would never imagine after walking around such small streets. You can also feed the pigeons and the actually stand all over you if you really want! The gondolas are so pretty going up and down the canals and the gondaliers actually do sing
