Disadvantages: Only went one night.

We had been in Venice for a three night stay. The first two nights we had eaten at Da Sandro which my sister-in-law will be doing a review on. Our problem was Da Sandro does not open on a Friday, so for our last night we needed to find somewhere else, and you do not want a bad experience on your last night do you. Suitably inspired, I decided to check Da Sandro out midway through our break and was very impressed, not only was the Da Sandro well away from those awful tourist hang outs, but it actually lived up to expectations for its food and pricing. ...name comes from the BIG mosquito that is hanging from the ceiling, (not real) and the adornments around the bar are tee-shirts with the creature on in various poses, print, languages and colour. The music played in the bar is very to suite all age groups, style and tastes though it never appears to be overly loud. ...evident, I just remember SPORT Restaurant being the name on the Receipt. We usually manage to get an outside table, the weather has always been kind to us. They have about 10 different Pasta ranging from Spaghetti Pomadoro to a sea food one with clams etc. All are reasonable price starting at 6 Euros, also you get a large portion, so with bread is quite filling for lunch. ...Remember you are in Italy so sharing is not looked down on, and extra plate supplied with a smile. The House Red is 8 Euros a Litre, it does have a slight sparkle to it but still a good drink in the Sunshine. Large Beers (400ml) are 5 Euros but beer is always dear in Italian places. The seats in here are Benches and tables, the minus is that the Benches are fixed to the tables, so the gap you see is the gap you sit in, be warned this gap is not very wide so if above size ZERO get an inside table.
