Less than an hours drive from the middle of Victoria this made a very enjoyable morning out. The gardens lie on the Tod inlet and are well signposted from highway 17. Although we drove it is possible to take a number 74 or 75 bus from Victoria. The gardens were a riot of colours and smells. There is a sunken garden, a rose garden, a Japanese garden, an Italian garden and a beautiful bronze fountain cast in Florence. The gardens are open till late in the Summer and on Saturday nights there is a firework display. There is alos a gift shop specialising in beautiful floral gifts, two restaurants and a coffeee house. I would thoroughly recommend it to all gardeners or to those who just love flowers.
