Victoria Court Hotel, Sydney

Advantages: This city knows how to enjoy itself
Disadvantages: one or two

...this is ok and clean and the food is better quality, but not very good for the budget. Things to do. The great thing about Sydney is there is loads to do if you like shopping there are fantastic places to shop you have the QVB(QUEEN VICTORIA BUILDING), the town hall shopping complex, you also have centre point tower . check out grace brothers and the david jones stores. if you do not mind there is parramatta shopping mall which is the biggest in the southern hemisphere. But if you are budget aware you could also shop at paddys market this is cheap where you can buy brand names at cheap prices, however please be careful as not all is genuine. Beaches. Most people tend to go to the famous bondi and this is good but it does get crowded, but other great beaches are bronte,coogee,whale beach and palm... Read review

Disadvantages: Long Flight, Not easy to get around

...Since I was a teenager I had always wanted to tour Australia, and finally as I hit 18 I booked my first visit to Sydney. From the minute I stepped on Emirates Airlines I was satisfied. It was a fabulous, unforgettable experience. I flew from London Heathrow to Sydney and spent three weeks staying in Hotel InterContinental Sydney, which was probably the most expensive but luxiourus hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent the first two or three days relaxing at the hotel, going to it's gym, the pool and having a look around the city. We spent the time looking at the tourist attractions, including The Sydney Opera House, where we dined and watch a production, which was absoultey spectacular, we did a Captain Cook Dinner cruise around the Sydney harbour which had a tasty menu, which we enjoyed and ofcourse I could not leave Sydney without... Advantages: 2 min walk to Circular Quay, great views of Opera House & Bridge
Disadvantages: None, would definately stay there again on my next visit

...The best part about this hotel is the location. It is very close to Circular Quay, The Rocks, The Bridge and the Opera House. We stayed here for 4 nights in March and found the staff to be very friendly and professional. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was about £16 and buffet style, although there was an enormous choice of food . We had a Deluxe Bridge View room, comfy beds with nice linens and lots of other amenities it had a good view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Nice pool and well-equipped gym in the hotel, but the attractions of Sydney don't leave much time to take advantage of them! When we stayed the hotel has just undergone a period of refurbishment and everything was immaculate.... Read review
