Resonanz in November

Advantages: Location.
Disadvantages: The hotel doesn't have its own parking

Hotel Resonanz from Vienna fit with the old side of this beautiful city. It was in November, two years ago when we arrived in Vienna in the same time with the first snow. Not too far for the Stephan platz we found this hotel and we chosed to stay for a week end. The room prices are lower for the week ends. It was free only one apartment, an old stylish apartment with kitchen and a big bedroom and another small room with two beds (maybe for children). ...
...so relaxing and quiet. The hotel is located so close to a lot of touristic objectives. St. Stephen's Cathedral Austria's most eminent Gothic edifice, the Opera, the Imperial Palace (Hofburg) and the Museums of Fine Arts and of Natural History can be reached in a leisurely walk of just a few minutes, as well as the shopping areas around the Kärntner Strasse and the Graben. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't have its own parking ...

Excellent hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Large rooms, clean, with firendly staff.
Disadvantages: 10 minute walk to shops and cathedral

The Hilton Vienna Plaza is an excellent hotel located on the Ringstrasse in Central Vienna, I will talk more about the hotels location later on. Before I arrived at the hotel I emailed the manager with a few questions about the local area and the hotel etc. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and I received an email back with all of my questions answered which was helpful. It took around twenty minutes to get to the hotel from the Airport, although ...
...of my stay it took about thirty minutes because of heavier traffic. Check-in was fast and very efficient, the hotel staff were friendly and gave me a map of the local area. I booked to stay in a standard king room, the rooms at the hotel are a very nice size. The bed was very comfortable and there was a chaise longue, desk, television, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, a brilliant view looking out at the city, and a clean en-suite. I paid around ...

Hilton Vienna - Top service, top prices!

Advantages: Great, central location, top service, comfortable and modern
Disadvantages: Costlier than nearby alternatives

In my search for a Vienna hotel I was looking for something classy and plush, somewhere I could get engaged in style! I also wanted somewhere fairly cental to the main attractions of the city. I would have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in! For those who have stayed in Hiltons before, you know what to expect! Instant concierge service as soon as you walk in, luggage attendants who take you to your room, and fast, efficient ...
...The rooms themselves are very clean and modern; ours had a large flat screen television, desk, and tea/coffee making facilities as you'd hope! Very comfortable and quiet too. Not much of a view for us as we had an inward facing room, but if you're lucky enough to have an outward facing room I'm sure that the view from the tall building would be pretty good! The hotel itself was pretty busy during our stay and mostly with business men and conferences, ...

Small, but perfectly formed hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Classy, comfortable, fantastic breakfast
Disadvantages: Not overly expensive, but the rates match how nice it is

...work trip! I found the Altstadt Vienna on tripadvisor where it was the 5th most popular hotel in Vienna. Well, the Altstadt Vienna certainly fitted the bill. It was just right for a romantic stay and was the perfect base for our weekend. Location = The Altstadt Vienna is situated in an old-fashioned Viennese apartment building. As you enter the hallway you have to go up the wide and sweeping stone staircase to get to the reception which ...
...the 'red salon' and breakfast area (more on this anon), the 42 rooms are spread across the 2nd and 3rd floors. Because it is not a custom built hotel building, it feels like a slice of 'real Vienna'. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk (to the west) of the famous Vienna Ringstrasse where all the grand buildings are and a further 5 minutes to the heart of the city. It is situated in the Spittelberg district, which is known for its 'artistic flair' and ...

As good as a slice of Sachertorte!

Advantages: As close to the centre as you can get without a massive step up in price
Disadvantages: Being woken up by drilling

...get two nights at the Hilton Vienna just a stones throw from Stadtpark rail station. If you arrive by plane into Vienna airport you can take the CAT train direct to Stadtpark station in only 15 minutes and the hotel is just a short 2 minute walk once you get out of the station. The hotel is found on Am Stadtpark A - 1030. We stayed in one of the standard rooms which was about 30sq metres and had all the mod cons you would expect such as TV, on demand ...
...was also a very cute Hilton Hotels yellow rubber duck. The hotel had a great concierge service that we made use off. Our guide book had recommended several restaurants and there were two we really wanted to go to. On the first night we asked the guy at concierge to see if he could get us in but they were both fully booked. He made a recommendation for somewhere else and booked us a table. He gave us the card for the restaurant and our first impression ...
