Hilton Vienna - Top service, top prices!

Advantages: Great, central location, top service, comfortable and modern
Disadvantages: Costlier than nearby alternatives

In my search for a Vienna hotel I was looking for something classy and plush, somewhere I could get engaged in style! I also wanted somewhere fairly cental to the main attractions of the city. I would have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in! For those who have stayed in Hiltons before, you know what to expect! Instant concierge service as soon as you walk in, luggage attendants who take you to your room, and fast, efficient ...

are Wein yet?

Advantages: Bar shambala
Disadvantages: Bit pricey

...and my second stay in Le Meridien hotel. Too late in the year to take a beach holiday for less than a grand each but needing a break after 6 months solid work, I decided to go back. Journey We flew Austrian Airlines from Heathrow (Terminal 2 - Very quiet & we managed to check in with no wait at all) to Vienna airport, a 2 hour 10 minute journey in a tiny little Fokker plane. We were almost on the back row on the way & found the heat from the engines ...

Renaissance Penta Vienna Hotel

Advantages: Not too near the city centre
Disadvantages: Great value weekend deals and lovely hotel

The Renaissance Penta Vienna Hotel in Austria is not located too near the city centre but there is an excellent public transport facility in operation. It is about 18 miles from the airport and it took us about 35 minutes by taxi ad cost about 40 Euros (£30). The hotel itself has recently been refurbished but is charming and welcoming. Excellent hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Large rooms, clean, with firendly staff.
Disadvantages: 10 minute walk to shops and cathedral

The Hilton Vienna Plaza is an excellent hotel located on the Ringstrasse in Central Vienna, I will talk more about the hotels location later on. Before I arrived at the hotel I emailed the manager with a few questions about the local area and the hotel etc. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and I received an email back with all of my questions answered which was helpful. Small, but perfectly formed hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Classy, comfortable, fantastic breakfast
Disadvantages: Not overly expensive, but the rates match how nice it is
