The location of the apartments is not in Albufeira itself, but just outside. Although the apartments are simply a 5-10 minute walk from The Strip (where there are many cafes, bars and little shops), it is a fairly quiet area, with little to no disturbance. The apartments are quite detached from one another, so this further lessens the noise levels. The apartments are around a 20 minute walk to the beach.
The rooms themselves are of very good quality. The lounge area includea a TV with several channels; some in Portugese and some English. Even the CBeebies channel was available, which is great if you're staying with children. The kitchen facilities were less impressive but still manageable - pots and pans, as well as cutlery is included. The pans are not non-stick though as we quickly discovered, and the lack of spatula was inconvenient! If you plan on eating out a lot though, this shouldn't be an issue for a few nights of your stay. The bedrooms were quite spacious and included a bedside table, desk, chair and wardrobe. If you pay a small, extra amount at reception you are provided with a safe key - useful if you want to keep money protected in your room's safe. Regarding the bathroom, it was quite small, but included a bathtub with shower head, toilet and sink. Towels and toilet roll were provided. A small disadvantage was that the bathroom door didn't lock, but perhaps this was just our room. The apartment also had a fairly large balcony, with included table and chairs and two sunloungers.
The apartment facilites include a swimming pool with surrounding sunloungers and poolside bar and cafe, which I loved. The food was really quite cheap (quite a basic menu with things like omelette and salads) but tasted great. You can also choose to sit in the shade or the sun. The staff were also really friendly and always greeted us. The bar was also great, serving original cocktails, juices and even yummy chocolate milk.
Overall, a great stay which was good value for money. I would definitely stay here again!
