Advantages: Quiet, family friendly, fun, good value, reliable, safe Disadvantages: If you mind, a five minute walk from the village
I loved staying at Bela Vista. I have read another review on this that is completely opposite of my experience. The owners are the nicest, most laid back people on the face of the earth. I actually could not pay my bill on departure in cash (not many ATMs in Jeri) as I had agreed and they were fine with me making my transfer upon my return to my country. I loved it that their Pousada is set some way out of the village (Jeri has a very lovely night ... ...want to sleep long and deep). The walk from the village to the Pousada is very brief and pleasant and I was always offered to be be brought or picked up by horse carriage.
I am sure they may sometimes get a kickback from some of the providers of services to guests in their hotel (this is Brazil!) but they go to great lenghts of selecting reliable operators that will not actually hussle or hassle you for extras etc. and have no hidden costs.

A little place of paradise!
The reception is cordial, everyone is very pleasant. Excellent stay to Vila Bleated Vista and its surroundings are marvellous.
There I recommend to all to come to spend a few nights and to come to admire the splendid sunset on the beach of Jeri. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the meals excellents.
Francisco prepares best cairpirinha of the area! If you want to go to the beach or downtown, Marcos will take you along there in charette!

Great place to stay!
The Pousada is few minutes away from the town, which was great if you don't want to be around all the noise. The staff was VERY friendly and always willing to give a hand. The room was very nicely decorated and cleaned daily. The fridge was always fully stocked. Patricia and Marcio were AWESOME!

I just came back from the Vila Bela Vista in Jeri. It is the best pousada I ever stayed with. The comfort , the accomodation and the atmosphere is perfect. Everybody is very friendly and helpful and Patricia and Marcio make you feel at home!

Advantages: family friendly -- they have free toys you are sometimes allowed to borrow and the hot tub and garden are nice Disadvantages: you can get a great room on the beach for the same price or a room just as good for 1/2 the price.
...just as good, or better. Vila Bela Vista is about the furthest hotel from the town or beach (15 min). There's a free horse and wagon that's often available to take you to town or the beach, but you usually end up walking back. The rooms are very small. Also, their "WiFi" service is slower than most dial-up connections. And they rip you off at virtually every turn -- including taking kick-backs from buggy(taxi) drivers and giving awful exchange rates. ... ...really nice place to stay, try Vila Kalango or Mosquito Blue on the beach. If you want to nearly pay 1/2 the price of Vila Bela Vista, Pousada Mauricio is central and social and Pousada Nova Era has big rooms and is quite and has a pool and lovely garden. ...
