Villa Esperia, Taormina

Villa esperia is situated in the Mazzaro part of Toarmina, that is near the sea. the city is accessible via via cable-car (lovely view on the bay...)
Staying at Villa Esperia has unfortunately spoilt our holiday a great deal. Even though it was nice to have a stunning view from the pool, we found that the hotel did not deserve its four stars.
the staff was not very polite, you had to be very patient because they did not seem to realise ...
...a lot to check in / check out/ get our keys from reception, betweeen the courses in the evening, etc...) But the worst thing was the food. We made the terrible mistake of booking half board and had to eat all of our dinners at the hotel. The food was extremely poor, even though I am not fussy. It was often cold and tasteless, certainly not cooked from fresh and just dreadful. As the week went, less and less people ate at the hotel.
