Advantages Excellent value, good food and good location
Disadvantages Poor sound proofing. rooms are a little small.
The Villa Flamenca Hotel is located in a more residential area of Nerja which is quiet. It is a 5 minute downhill walk to the beach (it takes longer coming back up the hill). The quaint old town is only a 12 minute casual stroll away and the bus station to other nearby attractions is a 6 minute walk. There is a Spa Supermarket very close by. the hotel is classified as a 3 star and in our opinion this is the correct grading. From our observations it is not suited to children ( there were none staying their during our visit) It is in our view it is ideal for couples who want to use the hotel mainly for sleeping and eating. The rooms are a shade small, and the sound proofing of the walls are poor. There are very clean and the towels were changed on most days. The bathroom and shower are adequate. However for a 3 star we thought the food both breakfast and dinner to be a high standard (apart from the vegetables). The gala dinner on a Friday night is top notch. There is a swimming pool with free sunbeds which is OK but nothing special. Also a bar and there is entertainment 5 nights a week. The reception staff are excellent. We would suggest you avoid rooms directly over the bar and these tend to attract some noise. If you want more luxury there are several 4 star hotels in Nerja but you do pay significantly more to stay at them, If you want value for money the the Villa Flamenca is hard to beat. There were numerous " Return" guests many of which were on there 5th visit so it must have some good attributes. May I remind the whingers (only a few) that you only get what you pay fo,r so either put your hand in your pocket to pay more somewhere else or cease moaning
