A Day In Capri Italy

Advantages: Lots to see and do
Disadvantages: not enough time

~ A Day In Capri ~ We booked a day trip to capri with a representative from our hotel (we were staying at the Excelsior Vittoria Hotel) in Sorrento this trip cost approx £50.00 per person. We got the hydrofoil from the marina piccolo which takes about twenty to thirty minutes or so. As we approached Capri I was amazed at the view of elegant brightly coloured buildings and tropical trees and plants it really does take your breath away and looks a bit like Balamory with all the beautiful colours and shapes, I think you will see what I mean on the photo's. ~ AnaCapri ~ We got a minibus to AnaCapri which is the island's second (Ana-means other), quieter town with lovely little white houses halfway up the slopes of Monte Solaro (which is the highest point on capri), one of the highlights for me was the scenic ...

Capri Crime

Advantages: thrilling, brill twist at the end
Disadvantages: none

A well-off English woman is married to a not so well-off Italian nobleman and has acquired the name and title of Duchess Lola d?Acquaviva, quite impressive, but unfortunately her marriage is in tatters. She lives with her dog in her in-laws? villa on Capri, her husband works and stays mainly in Naples visiting her only occasionally, the persons she sees most often is her gay Italian neighbour and her cleaning lady. To occupy her mind she decides to write a book, she doesn?t have any special interests or qualifications, but the neglected villa adjoining hers, which once belonged to a well-known foreign aristocrat and paedophile, gives her the idea to write about this man. In order to get into the mood of the period, the turn of the last but one century, and to learn more about the man she sends an email to the Englishman Simon Parks ...

Review of Capri File - Amanda Prantera

When in rome..whatever, when in Naples.. go to Capri.

Advantages: Pure beauty in a tiny island
Disadvantages: VERY expensive

of lovely restaurants and shops there. To get to the higher part of the town there are various options: the Funicular railway, which leaves every 15 minutes and, in peak times, every 5 minutes; a taxi, or the St. Costanzo line bus. We took the bus, and it was an incredible journey that stopped close to the Church of St Costanzo and the cemetery. Anyone feeling energetic can walk along the main road and all of the intersecting pedestrian lanes. All of these lanes lead to the medieval entrance of Capri. The funicular is supposed to be the quickest way to get from the port of Marina Grande to Capri Town and the journey itself takes about 5 minutes But we were advised by staff at our hotel to take the bus, taxi or walk if it was busy. A Single ticket for the funicular costs Euro1.40 and you can pre-buy as many paper tickets as you ...
