The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral ==============================
Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70.
We joined, my wife and I, on the ‘Flexi’ promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ‘Full’ 12 month tie in. Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. The vouchers entitle the user to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70. If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel. A fair few incentives but to be honest we just want to use the leisure facilities.
My wife is recovering from Breast Cancer and she has some back problems resulting from the Radiography. She also has restricted movement in the arm and shoulder from
where the lymph glands where removed so we initially joined for the swimming. I joined for the running, used to run for BAC a few years ago but have gotten out of shape. Before I get to the facilities,
Location: ====== Situated between Liverpool and Chester the Hotel sits on the A41 not far from junction 5 of the M53. The hotel is in Bromborough close to Port Sunlight and just off the very busy A41, views from the hotel are nothing to write home about, trust me.

Layout ===== You enter up a staircase and are immediately in a plush reception, to the left is the restaurant and to the right the bar/ lounge. Behind reception to the left is access to the lifts and hotel rooms whilst behind reception and to the right is the staircase down into the leisure facilities. Hope you brought your map with you?
Down, Down below; ================ The leisure parts of the Hotel and below reception, hope you’re not claustrophobic. First room is the coffee lounge, next to leisure reception, and then the first room which is for classes, dancing, etc. Next room has some small low impact work out equipment, balls, vibrating tables etc. Next room is the main workout room containing lots of bikes, cross trainers, treadmills, weights, sit-up stuff etc. Further down the corridor you turn a bend and find another quieter exercise room with just a few bikes treadmills etc, then another turn and another small exercise room, then through a door a 4 squash courts.
Back to the main workout room and in this corridor are the ladies and men’s changing areas. From in here you can access the swimming pool. A small pool which is only really suitable for circular single up then down breast stroke swimming, although it does have a small side feature for relaxing in. Also pool side are 2 Hot, HOT, Jacuzzis, again poolside steam room and sauna. Adequate would best describe it.
A plethora or perhaps it should be a warren of rooms here to explore and workout in.
Hotel Rooms ========== Well the rooms are, well hotel rooms, containing the normal amount of bits and bobs. Iron and ironing board, Alarm clock, Television, Wireless Internet access (complimentary), Cable & satellite TV, Telephone, Coffee/tea maker, Hair dryer etc. The views from which are the main road, a side road, the car park and another building at the back of the hotel. Again costs are in line with normal hotels and vary and may have promotions etc.
Summary; ======= A busy hotel, with large conferencing facilities as well and used daily by many businesses. Nights out are also catered for and they encourage smartly dressed to smart/casual passers by to come in for the food and the beer. The leisure side is actually very good and there are a lot of clubs on the go, walking, running, pot holing!, football, palates etc etc.
The restaurant, bar and lounge are all spotless and the food is very good and very reasonable. The staff are courteous and again very friendly. The rooms are clean and fresh with average to good facilities.
Worth a visit and worth a stay if your passing. Recommended.
