Depending on the season, most fruit and veg will be locally produced, particularly in the smaller shops. Almeria city has a wide range of shops to meet all needs. To make life easy, try the 'Mediterraneo' complex, which also houses the Alcampo hypermarket. Alcampo is part of the French Auchan group and stocks everything you're likely to need from food to clothes, car tyres to televisions. The fresh food section is particularly impressive, with a superb range of fresh meat and fish ideal for the barbeque. It's also worth getting charcoal (Carbon Vegetal) and firelighters at Alcampo as both can sometimes be difficult to obtain in Tabernas. To get there from Tabernas, head down... Read review

...Mediterraneo 1930 is our favourite restaurant in Palma The look, the atmosphere and the service are second to none. The food is amazing and the price is incredible. We will go there again and again. The waiters are so smart and professional. We had two wonderful meals there and can't wait to go back to Palma to have more. Everything about it is a credit to the owners. We can't speak highly enough about it. 10 out of 10 We loved the smart way the waiters were dressed Sitting eating our meal the look of the place was so wonderful we almost expected to see Hercule Poirot or Jeeves and Wooster walk in at any moment it really is a spectacular place and well worth a visit or two OR three John & Jaqui... ...My stay at the vincci conal mar was bizarre, very impressed with the appearance of the hotel, practically brand new, completely round, and very impressive on the eye. after leaving the airport,it was a 20 minute ride in a taxi, approx 25 euro, the area surrounding the hotel is quite residential/ rundown industrial estate which was off putting to start with and not the kind of place i wanted to walk through late at night, the area is called diagonal mar, and is served by regualr bus services and a brand new metro service, the area seems up and coming and the new apartments, shopping centre and hilton hotel certainly comfound this. the rooms are nice, spacious, and substancial discounts are to be had if you book via the hotels website - we got a 60% off infact! you are about 15 minutes on the metro away from downtown barcelona...
