I recently made a round trip from London Heathrow to New York JFK flying with Virgin Atlantic, from the second I boarded the plane I was instantly impressed with the proffesionalism and friendliness of the Staff on board.

Amenity Kit

In your seat waiting for you on the plane along with the usual cushion and pillow is the Virgin Amenity Kit containing Virgin Vie Lip Balm, Smint Sweets, Ear Plugs, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Rubber Duck, Face Mask and Virgin Vie Cologne wipe.

Although this isn't much it really does make you feel special and you receive two kits one on each leg of your flight, I also noticed that kid's on the flight received their own special backpack of goodies.

Entertainment

TV - The Entertainment on the Virgin Atlantic is certainly not to be sniffed at with about 6 Channels of Movies (both the usual flix in flight movie channels and special FilmFour Films) and lots of entertainment channels including a destination guide on one of these (the magazine you receive in flight shows you how to operate everything and what's showing when)
MUSIC - On the Entertainment menu during the flight you can find a full selection of Music Channels from VFM with Chart Music & Jamie Theakston, to Gay Anthems on Think Pink and Classic FM etc.
GAMES - Each screen also has a Super Nintendo in-flight system with Super Mario Bros, Noughts and Crosses etc, not exactly the best games in the world, but the most addictive rubbish games ever!

Comfort

The Seats seem to be slightly bigger than on other airlines and quite comfortable and you get the usual pillow and blanket, you also get a pair of socks in the amenity pack that people seem to walk about the plane in.

Food

The one thing in flight that I wasn't impressed with, on the way out we had a Pizza Roll, which can only be described as not nice! The hot meal itself was actually not too bad and we also got a choc ice towards the end of the flight which was a nice touch.

But in their defence, plane food is never that nice!

Cockpit

I personally didn't ask but according to the 'Hot Air' in flight magazine you can go and see the cockpit/flight deck if you ask one of the cabin crew, I noticed many kids seem to do this.

The Posh Part!

I flew in the economy section but had a glance through the curtain during my flight at the premium economy and first class sections and can only describe them as amazing! the seats looked massive and it looked like in first class that they went fully flat and had huge television screens for each person, but at £5000 a ticket for first class i'm really not gonna pay that!

So all in all I was very very impressed with Virgin Atlantic, the service was excellent though the food wasn't, but I can heartily recommend them.
