Having travelled to Florida twice over recent years I felt the need to write about the difference between Scheduled vs Charter. In May 2003 my family and I flew from Manchester to Sanford through Thomson Holidays (Britannia Airways) and in July 2004 returned but this time travelling with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester to Orlando International Airport.
Price - the price of the 2 holidays was comparable with Virgin actually coming out slightly cheaper per person.
Airlines - our experience of the Britannia flights was that the aircraft were cramped, the inflight entertainment was basic (no seatback tv's) and overall not the best. In comparison our 2nd trip to Orlando with Virgin was everything we could have wished for. Plenty of room even in economy seats. Seat-back entertainment (Films & Games). Virgin back-pack / satchel for the kids with activity book, hat, sweets and crayons to keep the kids entertained. Drinks throughout the flights (alcohol and non-alcoholic). Choice of 3 adult meals.
Another big advantage of Virgin was the direct flight into Orlando International airport as its closer the action areas being only 15 to 20 minutes to International Drive. On the other hand Sanford is a 40-45 minute drive away and in my opinion airport more basic.
In summary prior to booking with Virgin we thought they would be more expensive, but with a little shopping around turned out to be really good value for money.
We enjoyed our Virgin holiday that we are going again with them this November 07.
Look out for more reviews from me about my Florida experiences.
Thanks for reading.

My advice would be to stick to the topic - write about the airline that you are supposed to write about and leave off comparing it with another (rather irrelevant) airline. Even if you had done that, I still think this was only worth and SH - much more you could have said.
