Been flying on Virgin Atlantic reguarly for at least seven years now and can say that this carrier has got many more positive attributes than negative ones.
Food: like most airline food, Virgin's is not always the greatest but it's not horrific and on the LHR to LAX route there's a lot of food to go around even in economy class. Flight crew: Cheeky, fun, professional, but a bit impatient with non-English speakers and elderly non-English speakers. Legroom: What you'd expect for each class. Cramped in economy, all right in premium and lovely in upper. Ground service: Often leaves something to be desired on the LHR side; nicer in US. In-flight entertainment: Fantastic selection of music, games, tv programmes, films, etc. on demand. Seatback unit is a blessing especially when you consider other European carriers still have only the one big screen to show inflight movies on trans-Atlantic flights.

thanks, I'm flying virgin next month, I was hoping that their seats might be a little more roomy than the last experience 8 years ago. At least I will be prepared!
