...is part of Richard Branson’s Virgin enterprise and only operates domestically within Australia. It is a budget airline offering some great deals all around the country and since the cities in Australia are so far apart it is often drastically cheaper than driving or catching public transport as well. There is a loyalty rewards program however I am not a member of this so can’t really comment on how good it is. I would compare Virginblue to Easyjet ... ...Virginblue, Qantas and Jetstar. Virgin have always been cheaper apart from once. Flights are a lot cheaper mid-week and at ertain parts of the day so bear this in mind if you can be flexible with dates and times of travel. Booking is really simple, you just follow the prompts on their website (ww.virginblue.com.au) by entering your origin and destination places and dates, picking the flights you want and then putting in your credit card details. ...

Advantages: Cheap airline, great deals, excellent customer service Disadvantages: The full range on menu never available, hard seats and have to be quick to pick up deals.
...discovered a listing for the Virgin Blue (VB) airline, which I didn’t think Ciao would have as this airline runs internal flights around Australia and was most excited as I have travelled with these more times than I can count while I have been backpacking around the land down under.
Branson’s Baby is a backpackers dream, they offer cheap flights around Oz which can save you days sitting on a bus or a train (which may have its charms ... ...area is worth visiting then Virgin Blue fly there
CHECK IN & CUSTOMER SERVICE
The Trolley Dolleys at VB are a strange breed they look like something out of Hitlers Über Race – i.e they are all perfectly formed, tall blonde (really I haven’t seen a brunette in all my flights) specimens of the human race - which can be quite depressing when your clad in track bottoms, a vest covered in greasy sun lotion marks, are wearing flip flops and ...

Advantages: Great prices, easy online booking Disadvantages: None that I could find
Virgin Blue have not been flying in Australia for many years, but my experiences of them is pretty good. It is easy to book onto their flights, they are cheap and I find them quite comfortable.
Customer Service
Like any cheap airline, thet are not great at customer service, but what do you expect. Their staff are friendly and do their job in a profesional manner.
Punctuality
Their flights have never been late for me and they have always landed ... ...One group of passengers are offloaded and the next group are put on.
Comfort
I have always found there to be enough space for short flights and the leather seats have always been comfortable. Don't know if I would like to travel longer distances on their planes though.
Ease of Booking
It's so easy! Just book online in minutes.
Price
Fantastic - I have never paid more than £50.00 to fly from Sydney to northern destinations. Overall
An easy ...

Virgin Blue is Australia's cheap domestic airline - it also flies to short haul destinations such as New Zealand and the Pacific. It's OK, but no more. But with these prices, what do you expect?
Virgin Blue is certainly a cheap option for travelling in Australia. With the vast distances to be covered, if you don't relish the prospect of sitting on a coach or train for two days, look into flying Virgin Blue. It's often about the same cost, or even ... ...so more convenient if time is an issue. Perth - Sydney was A$189 - around £75 (four hours). I'm not aware of any other airlines offering domestic flights, except Qantas, which is much more expensive. Be aware that as with any cheap airline, prices vary dramatically - they seem to go up very steeply during the few days before you travel, so don't leave booking till the last minute. If I'd booked a week earlier, I'd have saved A$20 - but another traveller ...

What a doddle! Review ofVirgin Blue Australiaby

Advantages: Cheap, efficient, easy to book from the UK Disadvantages: None that I found!
...Alice Springs and then flew Virgin Blue from Alice to Sydney - and then Sydney back to Brisbane.
It wasn't until a friend recommended Virgin Blue that we realised we could fit in everything we wanted to do - and still stay in budget. It was scarily easy to find the flight we wanted and to book on line, though it is definitely worth booking as far in advance as you can. Was just like booking an EasyJet flight around the UK.
We booked online directly ... ...as travelling on certain days was cheaper than others.
Once we got there everything went according to plan too. Friendly and helpful staff, flight was on time, plane was clean. I really could not fault it and will definitely fly with Virgin Blue next time I go to Oz. ...

I assume my book is the same as the one shown, though the front cover is much more "funky". My personal copy was called Let's Go! Australia, on a Budget.
Let's Go is an American series of travel guides but despite being English myself I still found it more
If this book had been pressed into my hand and I had been told it was a work of fiction I would have ended up being very disappointed with it. I would have come away thinking "what a load of far-fetched nonsense". The fact that this story is true, and... more
What do you get when you cross American Pie 4 with the 40 Year Old Virgin? A very uneven boxset. These films are both classed as sex comedys, however whilst the 40 YOV achieved something American Pie: Band Camp is just a money spinner. Lets start at the more
