I’ve never flown with Virgin Airways and by the looks of things I never will! I recently need to make an unexpected flight and was forced to attempt a booking at 2am of the day I was to fly. I priced flights up on Virgins website along with a few others, aware that I may have to make a reservation by phone as the flight would be within 24hrs of booking. Virgin offered the best price by at least £100 so I attempted to make the booking on line. I entered my credit card details and pressed confirm only for the site to report that it could not process my reservation and I should try again or call the reservations number.
After another 3 attempts I gave up and called reservations only to be told that the office was closed at 7am and I should call back then. Not much use when you live 200 miles from the airport and the flight was leaving at 10:30!! I abandoned my attempts with Virgin and choose a rival who European office was also closed but who offered to transfer me to their US office free of charge! I even had to pay for the call to Virgin!
Since then I have tried to book another 3 flights through Virgin’s website. For some reason if I choose Manchester as departure airport and click on proceed the page simply reloads. It has now being doing this for a month and 3 e-mails to VA’s webmaster has resulted in nothing. Oh well! Someone else can have my custom, obviously Virgin don’t want it!
