I usually Virgin trains when i am travelling down the west Coast mainline. My experience of the Virgin brand has always been good and i also have Virgin Broadband too for my internet connection.

Anyway onto the trains themselves. They are very nice inside and the great thing about them is that they have little screens near the overhead storage area which give you useful information about whether a seat has been reserved or not. There are also plugs too for charging your mobile phone or lugging your laptop into which is very handy. In addition there is also onbard entertainment as you can listen to music by plugging your earphones into a earphone jack at the side of your seat.

Luggage space has been improved which is always handy if you have lots to carry although you must be careful incase someone stacks loads of heavy stuff on top of your stuff because if you have valuable stuff in there then it may just get knackered.

I would say that the vestibule areas are quite large which is good and i have pretty much always been able to find a seat whilst i have boarded the train so that is always good.

I'd say that the onboard shop is very well presented and clean with reasonable prices. However i haven't used it for a long time so can't say for sure what the stuff is like from there. I know that they serve a variety of refreshments like tea,coffee,beers,sandwiches, rolls,chocolate and crisps though.

I have a young persons railcard which entitles me to a third of most tickets but when you consider than train prices have gone up so much in recent times,it still seems a lot of cash to splash out on a journey-especially if you haven't booked far in advance and want to travel on weekends or at more appropriate times.

It would appear that Virgin Trains are trying to run their services like they do for their Planes which is good i suppose however i do believe that punctuation could be better and also the toilets could be improved. The best thing would be if they reduced the fares and make journey times faster between the main cities in the UK.
