Although Voss is a very small town located about 1-2 hours drive from Bergen airport it offers some of the best skiing conditions I have skied in. There are passes available for the cable car and ski lifts which range from one day passes to monthly passes, there is a restaurantsituated at the top of the mountain where meals are served all day. Although much of the food is quite expensive there is a wide variety of meals available. The ski slopes cover the whole mountain with slopes which can be used by a wide ability level of skiers the ski lifts are situated so that there is at most 50 metres between the top of the lifts and the start of the slope. There is skiing equiptment available from a wide variety of shops in close proximity of the main centre of Voss with all equiptment needed provided. Instructors on the mountain speak a wide variety of languages including very good English. There is only one main hotel in the main town of Voss but a youth hostel provides good facilities with large comfortable rooms for up to 4 adults.
