This hotel was the last hotel i stayed in when i went to Kenya with my High School for a performing arts tour. After an exhausting but VERY exciting 7days we arrived at the beautiful hotel and its welcoming staff. Set overlooking the Nyali beach 7KM North of Mombassa, it was more of a complex of accomodation rooms, 233 in all, with 83 having sea views and the rest views on to either the 4 pools or lush gardens, the rooms were also spotlessly clean and extremely modern and comfortable. All had brilliant air conditioning, electronic safe and spacious bathrooms with a balcony straight out onto a grassy area infront of your room.
The buffet spread put on for every meal was amazing! Breakfast was served from 7am-10am which was very helpful and gave you more leaisurly freedom. kenyan aswell as english food were put out and cooked right infront of you, plus with it being all inclusive, the cocktails went down very well!(non alcoholic ofcourse!) At night the entertainment was brilliant! Set out on the 'Captains table' dancing, singing, live bands, and ofcourse the chance for our own perfomance to be shown to the hotel guest's and staff, mainly as a gift for all the trouble they went to! The hotel has 4 different pools, one for kids, one for activitys such as water sports and underwater yoga! Another for relaxation which was under a waterfall and the last for younger children and the disabled.
The hotel is right on the white sands of the mombassa coast with turqoise blue waters and camels on the shores! The location was also great, it was near to an amazing catherdral and little town, on the beach, and away from busy roads. The Nyali golf and country club was also near by, plus snorkelling and other water sports were available at the water sports centre, ideal for children if they get bored, however this is highly unlikely giving 2 of the pools have games put on and one has a huge slide!
For those who want a more relaxing time, there is a 24hour harbour bar were if you have a green wristband you can get alcoholic beverages and if you have a purple wristband you can only have non-alcoholic drinks, this also gives families more freedom from eachother and parents can be sure that their children are safe. Also on campus there is a seafood resturant called 'Smugglers cove' hidden away in the tranquil coral cove a short walk through the complex. It serves excellent seafood dishes caught fresh from the sea.
On the complex there is also a gift shop which sells very reasonably priced kenyan souviners, plus there is an internet cafe for those of you wanting to gloat to family and friends back home or to use for business purposes! Overall this hotel was one of the best i have ever stayed in and i didnt want to leave, it was comfortable, you had your freedom and there was plenty to do, even for families.

Your review had lots of useful information but if I could just make a suggestion? If you put in paragraphs it will make it easier to read. Apart from that a good review and welcome to ciao x
Advantages: friendly people, rooms, pools, public areas very well looked after, different themes everyday Disadvantages: food variation... but what was out was tasty!
Advantages: right on the beach, clean and staff are very friendly Disadvantages: people selling safari trips are very persistant and gets annoying being pestered by them.
