I've now been on 2 cruises on this ship and will certainly be going again. It's a smallish ship as these things go, around 600 passengers, with a crew of around 300. The crew are predominantly Filipino, all speak excellent English and couldn't be more friendly. Faciities are good, with a gym, casino, theatre, library, internet suite and lots of bars. It's a one-class ship with two dinner sittings, you are assigned a table and have the same one for the whole trip. Food is excellent and plentiful.
Cabins aren't large, but are very clean and have their own TV with on-board films showing all of the day, plus local channels when available - but who goes on a cruise to sit in their cabin all day?
What makes it different from the new tower-block-on-a-barge type cruise ship is that it goes to a lot more interesting destinations - this year it visits the Galapogos Islands for the first time. It also does antarctica, as well as the caribbean, so plenty of variation for those who want to go ashore rather than lie comatose on a sun lounger for seven days.
Lots of entertainment when at sea, with some excellent guest speakers on board, and there is always a comprehensive talk about the next port of call.
It is not really geared up for young children, but older children would find it ok.
I would thoroughly recommend this ship to anyone who fancies a cruise as a means of visiting interesting places rather than just being on the ship for the onboard facilities.
