CITY CENTRE: Cross the river towards Flinders St Station (Melbourne's main railway station and a famous landmark) and the newly-completed Federation Square. There is quite an array of charming lanes and arcades, mostly dating from the Victorian era, some complete with original 1890's tiling and mosaics.
