I am reviewing the Brighton branch of this pub. Walkabout is an Australian themed pub which has music and djs playing at the weekends.
The Locations: There are 50 venues situated all over in the UK, including: Bromley, Covent Garden, Croydon, Islington, Putney, Shaftesbury Ave, Shepherds Bush, Temple, Watford, West Hampstead, Wimbledon, Birmingham, Derby, Hanley, Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham, Rugby, Wolverhampton, Barnsley, Bradford, Doncaster, Durham, Grimsby, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Blackpool, Burnley, Carlisle, Lancaster, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Wigan, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bournemouth, Brighton, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Newquay, Plymouth, Swindon, Cardiff, Newport, Swansea.
The Atmosphere: Our local branch of this pub is usually dominated by students, as I live in a city which has too big universities. It is a happy pub and doesnt have a uncomfortable or b*tchy atmosphere unlike some other pubs in Brighton. It is usually a party atmosphere and is often used as a meeting place for parties.
The Service: Bar service is usually relatively quick despite it being very busy.
The Drinks: Drinks are reasonably priced, with a special card available which means that you can get cheaper drinks (card costs £5 i think and selected drinks are then £2.50). There is a good selection available.
The Facilities: There are tvs and sky which show sport during the day and in the early evening. There is also a stage which hosts local bands and dj's. The toilets are nice, although there is one of those irritating toilet attendants who try to desperately sell you a squirt of deodrant for £1.
