Advantages: convenient location, good service and delicious food. Disadvantages: Expensive.
If you lived in Beijing and you said you don't know Hotel Kunlun people would think you were joking. I have lived in Beijing for over 11 years and visited the hotel many times for business meetings and leisure. Personally I think it's one of the best hotels in Beijing.
Location
The Hotel Kunlun is situated just inside the Third Ring Road of Beijing, which is the main traffic link between the centre of Beijing and the suburbs. Its central location is convenient for visitors and guests. From Hotel Kunlun to Beijing Capital International Airport the distance is 20km, to Tiananmen Square 10 km, to Beijing railway station 8km. It is also surrounded by many embassies, such as USA, Canada, Japan, etc. It's a 10 minute drive to the British Embassy. Last but not least there are many famous and popular department stores, shopping malls ...
Advantages: All the comfort and facilities one could ask for. Disadvantages: There is a strong presence of people staying in the hotel on business.
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Beijing with my family and had a great time, it really is a superb Hotel. We were only in Beijing for 2 nights and wanted to ensure we stayed in a hotel which was in a good location and was of a high standard . This ticked all the right boxes, the service and quality of the hotel was 5 star and located in the centre of Beijing, the hotel is just moments from Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, the city centre and the Wang Fu Jing shopping street, what more could you ask for. I particularly enjoyed the hotels facilities. After a long day visiting the attractions Beijing has to offer the is no place better to go and relax than the hotels huge tropically landscaped indoor swimming pool, followed by a delicious meal in one of the hotels retaurants and a drink in one of the bars. All in all i would highly ...
Advantages: beautiful gardens free to visit, good location, very clean and polite staff Disadvantages: expensive internet
, apple, orange juice and water to!
So you could really stock up as it was all you can eat and head out with a full belly to keep you going all day.
When you leave the hotel there is a car bay where taxis and bus pull up on. If you stand out there some of the staff will call a taxi cab over for you to take you where ever you wanted. The heart of Beijing (Tian Square) was a short 5minute taxi ride and cost no more than £2 for 4 of us!!
When we came home from our day out instead of eat in the hotel we walked 10 minutes up the street to the local restuarants. The hotel food was the same price as you would expect over here in a posh restaurant, and we also felt it wouldnt be such a good experience if we ate their instead of local places.
Every meal we had out was AMAZING and so cheap! a meal for four including drinks never came to more ...
