Beijing international airport

Advantages: quick administration procces
Disadvantages: for asian people, u can get any smile face staff here

Beijing international airport in a new upgraded international airport, crowded with many people everyday. It's far from beijng city, especially me, collage student which live in Beijing north, take 1 hour, getting there using taxi, and must pay it for 100 renminbi. I's architecture very modern looking, Customs and immigration are extremely easy to get through, especially if you have diplomatic passport, this airport would be very very friendly. Environment is well managed, very clean, and the toilet too, using automatic water flush . administration proses is good enough, and very quick. Staff here work very quick, but less smile. I don't like this, but as long as she didn't shout me, well... it's still oke.It would be better if you were western people, they will appreciate you more. ...

Wonderful Warwick Castle

Advantages: Wonderful day out
Disadvantages: Steep prices, some accessibility issues

** A QUICK HISTORY LESSON ** The origins of Warwick Castle date as far back as the year 914, when the daughter of Alexander the Great ordered the building of an earthen rampart to protect the hilltop town of Warwick from the invading Danish. My other half did actually check that this was so as he said he knew that sometimes places (like Leeds Castle) are not where you might assume they should be. I would advise that you use a route planner to find them as I can never follow directions very well and my geography is rubbish, at least with websites like www.routemap.com or www.theaa.co.uk you get a map along ...

Review of Warwick Castle

Hutongs of Beijing

Advantages: Beautiful buildings and a look at life for many ordinary citizens of Beijing
Disadvantages: Can be busy and cramped

A hutong is an ancient alleyway or lane found in Beijing which can date back as far as the Yuan dynasty of China in the 13th century. The crisscrossing alleys can now offer a glimpse of another part of this ancient city that is quite different to the major attractions such as the Summer Palace or the Forbidden City. The tiny, twisted and interconnected lanes wind through whole areas of the city of Beijing. The lanes are lined with traditional stone houses all arranged in quadrangles, so four houses around a courtyard, which are beautiful old fashioned buildings. They often involve carved pillars, window frames and doors and the open spaces of the courtyard lets in air and light to otherwise quite cramped areas-some of the lanes really are tiny with less than a metre of breadth. Most of the hutongs are still used as housing and are ...
