Washington Court Hotel - a great base in D.C.
Advantages: Modern, Friendly, Great Location for the Sights Disadvantages: No free WiFi, Not much locally in the evening
The Washington Court Hotel is a premier, 268 bedroom, downtown Washington, D.C. hotel in a great central location, just three blocks from the US Capitol Building and national mall. The hotel has been recently remodeled and offers a modern and stylish base for enjoying the city This hotel caters for business travelers - I have stayed on both weekdays and the weekend and noticed the lack of visible customers on the weekend days. The Rooms ... I always ... ...Location ... The Washington Court hotel sells itself as the hotel with "the only true view of the Capitol Building!" This is a good choice for a good choice for a hotel in central D.C. It's an easy walk to Capitol Hill, and you will definitely know which way to walk - you can't miss it. If you want a view request a (not guaranteed) view of the Capitol. You get a great view of the Capitol Hill skyline. Other rooms have a view onto office building ...

A Grand Place for a Memorable Stay
Advantages: Nice luxury hotel with a great atmosphere Disadvantages: Chain hotel
...full DC effect. Well, the Grand Hyatt Hotel certainly lived up to its name and provided a very grand and memorable place to spend my second visit to DC and last night in America.
~~LOCATION AND DETAILS~~
The Grand Hyatt is a large sized hotel, with 888 non-smoking rooms. Location-wise, it's excellent - town centre, just a couple of blocks from the White House and the Mall, which has the major museums and monuments(a couple of blocks equates to ... ...in the hotel are the Grand Café, which serves breakfast and lunch, the Zephyr Deli, Butlers Martini Lounge, the Grand Slam bar or Starbucks. We didn't fancy any of these and so ended up eating in a Tex-Mex restaurant down the road, which luckily turned out to be very nice. As we managed to wangle a special discount price, breakfast was included. This consisted of a buffet in the Grand Café, with everything from toasted bagels, smoothies and fresh ...

Ok for the price
Advantages: value for money, breajfast included, wifi available Disadvantages: bugs!
The Allen Lee hotel is classed as a hostel on many websites but I think this is because of its budget prices. When staying in October this year, we paid $337/ £160 for three nights in a twin room. The hotel is budget-traveler friendly and seemed popular with twenty-somethings and backpackers, which suited us fine. Although the hotel was very basic, it served a decent complimentary breakfast and had free wifi in the lobby.
When we walked in to the ... ...bright; the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only problem we had was the room in which we stayed. We stayed on the lower floor in a twin room (although we had requested a double when booking online). The room was relatively clean but it didn't have a very nice feel about it; it was dingy and in need of refurbishment, a stark contrast to the lobby of the hotel. There were bugs in the room, that ran across the walls and carpet. This seemed ...

Harrington Hotel.
Advantages: fun, cheap, central location Disadvantages: none.
...I have to say the hotel harrington is the hotel where i spent a few days which have probably been some of the best in my life.
I went there with my school and stayed there for three nights. On arrival I thought it was a bit boring and plain and it is- it's not a hotel you would want to stay in to experience luxury, it's a simple hotel for travellers. But it's not too simple. The hotel itself
features..
-a restaurant for lunch and evening meals
... ...a large group.
The hotel itself has 242 guest rooms including 26 deluxe family rooms which feature two rooms, two televisions, two baths and a door between for privacy. Alos they offer a discount of around 50% off the cost of buying two seperate rooms.
There are also 50 economical rooms with either one queen sized bed or two singles. larger rooms come with either two double size beds or two queen size beds.
the hotel has several rooms with a king ...

Good value for money
Advantages: Value for money, comfortable, nice furnishings, helpful staff Disadvantages: Location
Another perfectly satisfactory hotel from Best Western. Classy interior which is a good value for money. The rooms feel comfortable and high-quality. My only dislike is the location, since this hotel is located off a busy road with the closest Metro stop a good 10-minute walk away. Walking makes one feel a tiny bit unsafe, as it's not the NICEST area (but not bad, either!) - just the sort where you wouldn't want to be a female alone at night, but ... ...parking for cars, but we legged it around DC. There's a lot of fast food joints close by for quick eats, and downtown DC is a quick Metro or free shuttle (warning, they do expect tips!) ride away. There's also a 7-Eleven on the walk back from the Metro for that late night quick fix of caffeine & sugar. I'd recommend this place to all sorts of travellers, as the prices can accomodate any budget. ...
