Faliraki Water Park

Advantages: variety of rides, fun day out, enjoyable attractions, fair entry fee, easy to get to
Disadvantages: no straps on locker keys, limited shade on walkways resulting in burning feet, very hilly

Faliraki Water Park
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a family we are fairly easy to please on holiday. We consist of my dad who is 42, my 17 year old brother, my 8 year old brother and myself (I am 20). We all enjoy similar things on holiday and our ideal day is lazing around by the pool and perhaps having a little wander round local villages then having something nice to eat and drink. One thing we all love ...
...taxi, car and bus. The water park run a free shuttle bus to and from Rhodes town and there is a reasonable sized carpark (free of charge) so if you have hired a car you can use that as transport.
The water park is the first to appear on the island of Rhodes and claims to be the biggest in Europe (I am not convinced about this as im sure I have been to bigger ones). From June through to August the waterpark is open from 9.30am till ... more
Faliraki water park--- ok for a small place
Advantages: The rides are good
Disadvantages: Not many rides, hilly
...second week in october. the water park was still open, thank god. For a holiday park this is pretty good, the slides are few in number but the thrills are pretty decent. We were there in late october so didnt have to queue, the park is very very hilly and i could imagine having the queue would probably make all that walking not worth it. I wouldn't go there in the busy season. Final note---- don't go to faliraki in october!!!!!!!!!! you have been ...
Home from home but with pool!
Advantages: Excellent base for families
Disadvantages: No tvs in room
the the apartment bar and a mini-supermarket selling everything from flip-flops to bread including a lot of English brands. As far as location is concerned the aparments are 5 minutes walk to the pebbley beach, half a minutes walk to the next Greek restaurant, 20 minutes walk into Trianda, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. It's an excellent base, with a large variety of excursions, including a water park which my 15 year old son loved. Rhodes old and new town is a must especially old town, with its warren like little streets that seem to go on for miles - ladies do not wear high heels I implore you, it's very cobbly! Lindos is to be recommended, especially via boat, where on the way back they anchor up and everybody can dive off and have a swim. In Lindos you can visit the Acropollis which is at the top of a very steep hill ...
ESCAPE TO ESPERIDES- EXCEPTIONAL
Advantages: Great all round family holiday
Disadvantages: lots of german sun bed pinchers (sorry if your german)
the floor it is that clean, something you don't see that often. SOME FACTS IF YOU GO HERE A taxi from here to Rhodes Town costs 11 Euros, but it is a great place to spend an evening out. A taxi to Falaraki (only for the young, discos in galore) 5 Euros. There is a bus service every half an hour outside the hotel which takes 30mins to get to Rhodes Town, 10 mins to Falaraki, and costs 1.7Euros. There is also an air-condtioned bus which takes you to Lindos and costs you 3 Euros each way, compared with a Taxi which is 29Euros each way. Lindos is well worth a day-trip, it is a lovely oldie worldy town situated on a steep hill and its beaches in the bay are out of this world. Across the road to the Esperides is Rhodes only Water Park. It is open daily from 09.30 to 18.00 and in July and August it is open to 19.00. Admission ...
Going back again...
Advantages: Superb family friendly resort
Disadvantages: Can get too hot!!(is that a disadvantage!!?)
Alexandras. The beach in both resorts is a pebbly / shingle which is difficult to walk on. For better beaches visit resorts to the South. However Ixia and Trianda are both lucky in the fact that there is a breeze there so the heat is far more manageable. Faliraki beach is quite nice and when we went there it was quiet- no breeze though so much hotter. A must is a visit to the Water Park in Faliraki- hardly any queues and great value for money. Rhodes Town is a lovely place to visit, especially the Old Town- watch though because prices can vary quite considerably in the restaurants. When youre in Rhodes Town why not go over to Marmaris in Turkey? Needs to be booked in advance as you need your passport to get a visa etc. Cost us about £100 for the 4(including entry into Turkey), VERY rough crossing- if youre not keen on water dont do it ...
