Advantages: So much to do Disadvantages: Can be busy
...you can buy ice cream with over 100 different flavours to choose from.
In the night this area of Nice becomes even more vibrant with a new market full of all types of gifts from jewellery and bags to soap and sculptures.
There are loads of restaurants to choose from with very nice food from steaks to mussels.
There are also a variety of bars, clubs and cafes such as Oxford bar where cocktails are only £1, or Wayne's Irish bar where they dance on the tables!
I also found it very easy to watch the football there (Euro 2008) as every bar and restaurant had at least one large flat screen TV outside - which enhanced a great experience.
Easy to walk there or you can catch a tram whihc runs right down the main street and are only £1 - and run very regularly
Some people say that it can be quite unsafe there, but i found it quite the contrary...

Advantages: A wonderful clean, tidy airport Disadvantages: Sadly only has domestic flights
...Think of the airport in Orange County and you think of John Wayne. After all, that is who the airport is named after and that is what causes it to be a laughing stock overseas.
Mention Orange County airport to Californians and they’ll mention the airport’s other claim to fame – the scenes from the film Jerry Maguire. But Tom Cruise aside, what is this airport like?
Well, frankly it is pretty darn nice. It is small, but it is spotlessly clean and easy to reach. It is easy to find your way around, spacious and relaxing. To be honest it is everything that LAX isn’t – and unfortunately for overseas passengers it also means that it is solely a domestic airport.

I would...

Advantages: Beautiful place Disadvantages: a little risky for children come night time
...The old part of Nice is certainly an exciting place in places. It has interesting entertainment down on the front by the beach, and it has got some good places to go out. A great time really can be had, chez Waynes in particular is one of the best places i have ever been to. Having gone there almost every night, for the great atmosphere, great music and of course everyone up dancing on the tables. It is almost a neccesity to visit whilst in Nice. I also found the McMahons pub to be great venue to meet fellow English speaking people, and conveniently was in very close distance to waynes.
However, The old town can definitely be a scary place at night, having first hand been attacked there! And also been approached several times and asked to buy drugs. This is my biggest criticism of the area; the kind of people who...

I’ve just returned from a holiday in Nice, where there’s approximately 300 days of sunshine a year, there are French women sunbathing topless on the beach, and you can dunk your baguette in your coffee and just sit back and watch the world go by. I went more
Hoping for a short break in the sun we opted for Nice which is a great city. The hotel was located on the main promenade , easy walking distance to all the big fashion shops and the old town. It was also a very easy bus ride from the airport, the bus... more
